LATEST AWARD NEWS

A lot has been happening in the award/nomination department lately, so let’s get caught up.

First of all, SLACKER has been nominated for the Maine Student Book Award, and MASTERMINDS has snagged a nod for the Sasquatch Award, chosen by the readers of Washington State.

MASTERMINDS has also WON the Diamond Willow Award, selected by the readers of Saskatchewan.

In addition, MASTERMINDS: CRIMINAL DESTINY has been shortlisted for the Arthur Ellis Award (YA/Juvenile category), chosen by the Crime Writers of Canada. That’s a new one for me, and I couldn’t be more flattered and psyched. Plus, it’s always cool when a later book in a series gets a little award love.

Finally, special congratulations to Adam Barkin, who won a Writers Guild of Canada Award for best miniseries/movie of the week for BRUNO & BOOTS: GO JUMP IN THE POOL! Woo-hoo!
