    Hey, Quinn,

Apparently you can't believe everything you read on the Internet. Who knew? As of today, I am alive and well, thank you.

    I have another question...

I have to do stuff for reading class that involves author techniques..

I'm not that good at identifying them. What would you say are some of your techniques?

Aha! Now that I'm alive, I can be pumped for information! OK, Quinn.

The main technique I like to use is writing different chapters of a book from the point of view of different characters in the story. That way you get a well-rounded view of exactly what's going on and how everyone sees events and circumstances. I also like to use humor to develop a character. As in Brendan Espinoza in RESTART. I use him to develop Chase's personality. And Brendan is a pretty funny guy.

See how it works? Don't sell yourself short, Quinn. You're a bright person who can easily recognize what an author is doing to tell a story or develop characters.

    Hope that helps.                                                                        -----Gordon Korman-----
