The school I substitute teach at is doing Restart as a community read.  I am interested in doing it as a church community read to have an inter generational program.  I think this story has a lot to offer the entire community.  Ideas on how I can make activities around the story for preschool to 99 years of age?

Thank you for the story it was amazing and inspirational

    Blessings,

    Jacinda Jones

    Hi, Jacinda,

Thank you for posting and for all the nice things you said about RESTART. I very much approve of your ambition to make it a Church community read. The topics of bullying and self-transformation are most emphatically not just for kids, but are universal. And the contribution to the story of Mr. Solway adds a more tangible trans-generational touch. Plus the concept of forgiveness and second chances seems made for a community church populace.

As for activities, I would suggest a video club for your preschool-to-99 set. Or a creative writing group coming up with stories that would produce as many laughs as "Leaf Man" or the "Tuba Fail." Prizes for both, of course.

I hope your idea catches on. Please keep me posted. And thanks for your support for RESTART.
