Sorry, but I think you'll find that kind of personal information isn't really available for most authors. For the sake of privacy, I prefer to keep that part of my life to myself.

BUT for the sake of your project, I'll tell you that my wife is a teacher, a reading specialist. Our kids are ages 23, 20, and 16, boy-girl-boy. The oldest is a college grad, and the middle one is away at college now. The 16-year-old is still in high school. I'm an only child, so there aren't any siblings at all, but there are a lot of people who inspired me. My Mom, for one, who is a writer and journalist herself, and wrote a newspaper column for years when I was growing up. And my Dad, who is the person who taught me what a perfect Dad is. A friend named Patrick, who would be a wonderful writer if he only had the patience for it! And a cousin named Barry who was the big brother (by 3 years) that I didn't have.

I hope that's at least a little bit helpful. Sorry to seem so secretive, but privacy is a rare and wonderful thing these days!
