    Dear: Gordon korman

Hello Mr. Korman i think that your book super gifted is a really good book . The reason i choose your book to read is because i\'ve read all your popular books except super gifted.

One of the main things that I think made your book interesting is how each chapter is assigned to a different character’s perspective. This makes the book a lot more enjoyable because it is very interesting to know what the characters think of the main characters like Donovan and Noah. Some major times where this is important are times seeing what Meagan was thinking when she put the pieces together with the dog bone and stuff and figured out that Donovan was the one who saved the house.

Another interesting part is how there is a new mini problem, that revolves around one big problem, each time I read making me feel anxious and on the edge of my seat. The constant theme in the book is something appears to be a good thing and turns out to be another problem. Like saving someone\'s life, when you weren’t supposed to be there, or being on a famous news show, and the man is about to expose them. I feel that this really builds drama making me even more interested in the book.

Another thing I enjoy is the many lessons this book can teach, like taking risks or the only person you can trust is yourself. These lessons can connect to some people and not others. But for me, I can connect to these. I feel that I am more out of the box and more wild then a lot of people and I love taking risks. There have also been times where I have felt that I shouldn’t trust anyone and at times it can be the right choice to make. Your book is my favorite book I have read and I think you should add another book to this series. I hope you reply back.

Thank you for taking your time to read this and keep making great books for generations to come and kids now. Also what\'s your favorite book?

    Sincerely Maxton Balster

    Hi, Maxton,

Thanks for posting and for your detailed commentary about SUPERGIFTED. I'm really pleased to hear that you enjoyed it so much. I hope you'll want to read your way right through my long list. Just go to THE BOOKS section of this website and take your pick. June 28th is the scheduled release of my 100th book, THE FORT. I hope you'll read that one too. I don't usually pick favorites among my books, but I think THE FORT qualifies as very high up on my list.

Thanks again for your letter and your thoughtful analysis.                                             -----Gordon Korman-----

    Dear Mr. Korman,

I was wondering if and when you would be in Ohio between May 23-25 of 2022. I am asking because I am a student at Louisville Middle School. I have chosen your book LINKED for a book project and I have the option to interview the author of said book. So if you are avalible and have the time, me and my class would graetly apreate it.

PS, If you deside to come you will be looking for the 7th grade hall, Mrs. Reinfords room. (2nd door on your right.)

    Thank you for your time,

    Liam H. Scott

    Hi, Liam,

Sorry, people, but I'll be touring in Missouri on those dates.

BUT. I'm available right here, and right now, so if you send me your questions, I'll do my best to answer them online. Will that be helpful? It certainly qualifies as an interview, right? Just let me know.                 -----Gordon Korman-----

    Mr. Korman,

Thank you for letting me know. And yes, I do have some question for you.

    1. Where did you get the names for the caracters and why did you choose them?

    2. Why did you choose the location and events you did?

    3. Why did you choose the paperclip project as inspiration?

    4. If there was something you could chang about the book, what would chang?

    Hi, Liam,

    OK, here goes:

    1. Names are easy. Everybody's got at least one. But I spend a lot of time working on names for my characters. I can't exactly explain it, even to myself. But a name has to "sound right" for the character before I'll choose it. But I'm not really sure what "right" is. I just know it when I see it.

    2. I assume you're talking about LINKED, right? I needed a small-ish town with a manageable-size population of people who could all get behind the paper chain project. I chose the mountainous part of Colorado for just such a semi-isolated area. The events? That's part of the story. I chose it. If it hadn't been for that story, the whole of Chokecherry's past couldn't have been brought up. It was all fiction, all made up to suit the story I chose to tell.

    3. The paperclip project in that Tennessee school was something I've been thinking about for several years. Those students were unique people in that they found it hard to wrap their minds around a number like 6 million. It was a brilliant idea to collect something like paper clips to be able to imagine such a number in terms of 6 million human lives.

    4. It may sound strange, or even a little bit "stuck-up," but I wouldn't change a word of that book! It came out exactly the way I'd hoped when I was planning it.

There. I hope that's helpful, Liam. If there's anything else, you know where to find me -- right here!

                                        Best regards,                                                                        -----Gordon Korman-----
