Yeah, Jade I've wanted to ask you for a while WHY EXACTLY you make SO MANY FORUMS!!!! Is there even an actual REASON. Do your parents even know and care?

Yeah, LOL. I make so many because Gordon Korman is my very favoritest author ever and I can't believe I can actually talk to him. It's like if my mom could meet Beyonce and ask any dumb or smart question she'd ever wanted to. I make so many because there's a lot I have to say at just about all times. Even though it doesn't matter, I feel like posting all of the time is just a reminder to the entire world that ever sees this page that I am and will always be a hugamongous fan of Gordon Korman. Yes, my parents know, and yes, they do care. My mom is happy I can talk to my favorite author, but I don't think she knows just how  many forums I've made... heh.

 

I didn't see any rules on here (and I promise I looked), so I'm pretty sure it's... legal? If it bothers you, I'm sorry. I'll try and tone it down a notch. May I ask how you knew it was I who wrote so many forums? Anyways, have a nice day, Ruchama!

I think it's ok to spam. I got excited when I first discovered the forum too. There was so much I had imagined I would tell him if I ever found a way to contact him and then I realized there actually was a way! Gordon Korman is the only author I know about that has this feature on his website and I almost didn't expect him to answer anything, but within 24 hours he did! I got very excited about this. The author who had written all of those amazing stories I had read had actually acknowledged my existence and communicated with me! Well, my point is, I can relate with you about being excited and spamming. Definitely nothing to feel guilty about. Nowadays, most kids spend their time playing video games and watching videos that they barely even realise that books exist! There's only a lucky few left that appreciate the world of reading.

I guess I might have also gotten excited after I discovered this forum because I was HOOKED on Unplugged and couldn't put it down (I'm serious!) I hope your family gets you a personal computer soon! i LOVE (big hearts) Harry Potter SO much! Double emphasis? The lowercase 'i' is on purpose. It now does not take away from the emphasis on 'LOVE' by being uppercase! I love it so much! I don't visit the Wizarding World very much, but I am subscribed to it. I usually express my happiness with Harry Potter by reading fan lfiction. I didn't read any in the past week, actually... but, anyway!

Who's your favorite character? I think Ron's pretty cool most of the time.

Also, about the Forum! It's rad! I usually just check and see any interesting Forum topics. How long have you known the Forum existed/been using the Forum? Yeah, the computer thing stinks, I'm also subscribed to Wizarding World. I started reading Harry Potter when I was just 7 1/2 and haven't stopped since. My grandma wanted to get me a ring for my Bat Mitzvah, but I told her to bring me to Universal instead. I don't really have a favorite character, but I really love Luna, Hermione, Hagrid and Ginny. What house are you in? I've been on WW with a few different accounts so I've taken the House sorting a few times, so I'm a Ravenpuff. What house are you in. I think I knew about the forum's existence since about the beginning of the school year. What do you mean by your friend "recognized" your screen?

Wizarding World is awesome! I wonder why they changed it from Pottermore. I started reading the book(s) when I was 10, but I've only read one and a half. The fifth book, which was my favorite (until I read and saw GoF) and then the end of The Deathly Hallows. Also, that is really funny to me! Ring or Universal? Universal, obviously! Have you been before? Did your grandma actually take you? If the answer is yes to either question, what's your favorite ride? Personally I've never been, only because my mom thought I'd went already! No! That was my brother, not me! Anyway. I understand the no-favorite-character thing. Luna is awesome. A teacher I know loves her to death! Hermione is a girl boss, and YES! FINALLY! Somebody that appreciated Hagrid! He's so awesome! He's done so much for the Golden Trio. Ginny is lovely. Kind of bland in the movies, but oh my gosh I love (the snippets) I've seen of her in the books! My house? Well, when I was 11, it was Ravenclaw. I took the test four times. But now? I took it again and I got Hufflepuff! Then I took 10 more! 6 of them were Gryffindor and 5 of them were Hufflepuff! So, I'm a Gryffinpuff, but I just claim Gryffindor because that's the most frequent result. 

On another note, that was like, nine months ago! I am surprised (but not really) that I didn't know you knew the forum existed. I've been here since... WOW! July 16th! I remember that day when I read Slacker... it feels like it was five or six weeks ago, not nine months ago! I can't believe I wrote on here the day before school started! Now I'm going to have to write on her until the day after school ends... and until the end of time. Duh. I love this page! Great memories!

Also, my friend "recognized" my screen because I'm on it so much, it happens to be when I hang out with her sometimes too. For example, whenever I have free time at school to use my Chromebook, I am either writing, plotting, or on the Forum. My friend is kind of nosy (LOL) so she's seen me on here one or eighty-two times. So. She knows the font, the chat things, and what the page looks like so she recognizes it. XD!

I wasn't actually in Universal until this past January(my grandma likes to take us to places like Disney and universal in the winter cuz it's less crowded and not as hot). So yes, my grandma did take me and I think my favorite rides were the ET and Minions rides(I just HAVE to put 2!) the line for Hagrid's motorbike was HUGONGOUS! Like REALLY,REALLY HUGONGOUS!!! I have a really close friend who also LOVES Luna. She even made herself radish earrings, which were adorable. And I agree, I think Ginny was only in the movies first as a damsel in distress in Chamber of secrets, and then later on as a love interest for harry. My favorite books are the 1st ,2nd and 6th. What're yours? You also write! I'm the only one in my group of friends who write. There are people who take the same classes as me who write, but I wouldn't call them my friends, although they give me some really good tips. Random, I know, but what's your favorite Gordon K book? I think my favorites are Restart and Unplugged, although I am currently in the middle of No more dead dogs, I haven't so many of Gordon's books.

Ooh, that's actually really smart. I will tell my mom and dad that tactic so that they take us places during winter break! I don't think I've ever seen those rides. I will have to do research on them if they're really that fun! Were the lines long? They sound awesome, but aliens are always awesome. And, oh my goodness, that ride has so many people! The legends say it never dies down... it will always be hugongous. Until the end of eternity! I am in love with that word, hugongous! HUGONGOUS! My love for the word hugongous is HUGONGOUS! Also for Hagrid. <3. I love Hagrid!

Also, that about your friend and Luna. That's so cute! Were the earrings actually made of radishes or just fake ones? I'm picturing them right now, those earrings sound so cool! And your friend, too. Not a lot of people are that creative. Honestly, to me, it seems like the only Weasley done any justice is Molly Weasley. As much as I love Ron and Ginny, Ron was used as comedic relief and made seem as idiotic in the movies, even though he's a super snarky and clever person! Maybe it was because there was basically no time. Ginny was as you described. Speaking of Weasleys, who is your favorite Weasley? Mnie is Ron. Obvi. LOL.

Anyway, my favorite books are (because there's more than one) the second, fourth, and sixth. I love the fifth one but The Half-Blood Prince was just so good! As well as The Chamber of Secrets... that book was the most horror-filled. It shows how dark Voldemort can get. We almost have the same number... numering? Numbering? IDK. The same [insert word you call the number of a book in a sequence] except for the first one. I see why you like it, though! It starts the ball rolling to one of the best works of fiction of all time. 

Oh, you write too! That's awesome. Like, really awesome! I love love love writing! So do my many (cough, two) friends. All kinds of it! Creative writing, non-creative writing (like writing essays), research papers, all of the like! As Gord (AAAAAAA) knows. Because, um, one time I answered his mail (on the forum). It was rather funny. I learned about one of his cool books, Don't Care High, on there! I'm totally gonna read it. So excited! Anyway, I like to write the genres of fantasy and realistic fiction. They are my two very favorites! I read and write Middle Grade and Young Adult. I'm technically in... both? It's confusing. I'm just another middle schooler, okay! I have like... eighteen, at least, book ideas. Legitimate, established book ideas. (The same number of Realistic Fiction and Fantasy, actually!) A few of them are series. The rests are historical fiction and Sci-Fi. I've never actually written Sci-Fi before, but I'm beta reading a Sci-Fi novel right now. So, fun!

Enough about me. What do you like to write! What do you use to plot/organize, and write? (I use Milanote. 5 Stars! I recommend.) What's your favorite writing genre? Do you have a lot of book ideas? Are you working on any? 

Oh, I'm so excited to meet another writer! I am hugongously excited to meet another writer. I love that word! Also, sorry that you are the only one in your friend group who writes. And what?! You have creative writing classes? Lucky, lucky, lucky!! Are they awesome? How are they? The classes, I mean. What are they like? Do you enjoy them? The acquaintance thing is understandable. I have those too. Yes, they give amazing advice, people I know who write! Just like Gord here! He's actually helped me out a lot, even if I only ever asked three (or more) questions about writing.

Holy guacamole! Restart is stunning. I love that book. Supergifted is awesome too, but I'm going to have to hand it to Whatshisface. I've read that book a lot of times, okay? Almost as many as I've read, or considered reading, Keeper of the Lost Cities or the Fudge series. Anyway, Whatshisface is so, so good! I actually kind of want to name one of my children Rodrick because of that. I actually haven't read that many of his books either, heh... I'm kind of busy obsessing over the, like, three, that I have! Who's your favorite character in Restart? Mine is the new Chase! (I'd ask about Unplugged but I haven't read it yet. Heh. I kind of forgot. Whoopsy!) 

Last year, No More Dead Dogs was on my summer reading list. (Which are actually the best things ever if they have any cool books on them.) I won't spoil anything for you since I don't know where you are, but Wallace Wallace is so funny. Just... so funny. I love him! I also love his ex-best friend. He's so witty! Anyways, bye! FINALLY! Other fans of the Harry Potter series. Harry Potter and J.K Rowling are my favorite things after Gordon Korman books. I would probably say my favorite character is Neville because he is probably one of the characters with the most development. My favorite book is the 6th book because of the backstories. I also love the first two Fantastic Beasts movies. I have not seen the third one but I keep asking my Dad if he would go with me. My favorite Gordon Korman book would be Linked because of the suspense and mystery. I am a Gryffinclaw.

The backstories are literally spectacular and the theme is just so good, it's like another mystery in and of itself, especially because of Snape's character arc! I've only seen the first Fantastic Beasts movie. Who is the best character in that one? Mine is Queenie. I hope your dad goes with you, my friend told me it is awesome. Linked! Ahh! WOW, Jade just WOW!! I'll have to answer your questions out of order(sorry!) No, I don't have a creative writing class, partially because I'm in a private school. And no I'm not in a private school because my parents are rich, it's a Jewish private school. I write simply by using a (very worn out) notebook. my friend made her earrings by painting them and something else, I never really asked her, and of course they're fake. My favorite Weasleys are without a doubt definitely Gred and Forge (see what I did there? Not a mistake. Check sorcerers stone if you still don't get it(: , although Bill and Charlie are cool too. I think I only like the first because of the beginning. I'm not exactly sure. Also, it's fantasy ,not fiction. I'm working on my first book right now and it's middle grade realistic fiction, and I like to and mostly(try) to read middle grade because a lot of YA is romance and romance is annoying. I guess I have other book ideas, but it's easier to just write one book at a time (I know that from Gord's readers forum(: I made myself my very own plot line and I figured out a (very) smart way on how to organize the characters. I LOVE the Fudge series! Its HILARIOUS! I still love it even though I'm kinda too old for it! I was into Keeper of the lost cities the past school year and then over the summer I wasn't AS into it anymore and then my friends didn't like it and I came to the realization that it's too cliche and the whole love pentagon is dumb, so now I just hate it. I haven't read Whatshisface yet because the concept of it seems a little... odd to me. you better read Unplugged. You're going to thank me for me making you read it, I promise! And the lines in Universal are different lengths depending on which ride and at what point of the year you go. And I guess you're right about Ron in the movies. I think I like chamber of secrets BECAUSE it's horror-filled. Ooh, I started Don't Care High, but I didn't actually finish it. have you read Losing Joe's Place? It's probably one of Mr. Korman's best. Rootbeer an Peach were my favorites in that one. If you like sci-fi you should definitely read Wake Up missing by Kate Messner. She's a terrific writer. I got Ungifted out of the library 2 weeks ago, but I haven't read it yet, although my father did ang he liked it and said it was great. And don't worry, I don't have too much people to call friends, maybe because I started sitting at the geek table. My fave character in Restart is definitely the vidiot who makes youtube videos(I forgot his name).

Yeah, Jacob is so awesome! I loved his character throughout the entire movie. There's no way they couldn't bring him back, he's so funny yet innocent! Woah, someone else who likes writing? That's awesome! I was actually wondering if you were. I hope the Write Camp calls you back, and I didn't know you liked music, that is cool! Do you like to sing in chorus or play in band, or something else? I do neither but I do like Indie Rock, Gospel, and old songs. My favorite song is Let's Groove by Earth, Wind, & Fire. What about you? And yes, of course, I love recommending Milanote. It's actually mad expensive if you buy the money version, but it is so worth it. It also gives a free trial. If you come close to running out of space, just start using the annotations and comments. (Milanote doesn't count those!) I actually accidentally glitched my friend to have 99999999989 new free cards on accident yesterday! My friend, (not the same one) also recommends using OneNote or World Anvil. If you have Discord, you can find a lot of Writing Tips and Resources on writing Discord servers. I find a lot on 'The Writer's Factory'. I will give you more writing tips and tricks if you want to. I need to be reminded of them anyways! 

Ooh, I've been waiting for this day! What do I enjoy about writing? Literally everything. I love writing research to creative writing! I like how I get to make the universe and it's all my rules. I've been writing since the beginning of 2020 (sort of) but haven't actually seriously taken any of my ideas in a good fashion until last March. Then I took a break. But now I'm back, and I actually finished the outline to my work last night! Writing is amazing! So, basically everything, as I said in the above. What of you? What do you enjoy about writing?

Hi again! And don't worry about it. I do everything out of order, except reading book series, because that's kind of evil. Wow to you too! Bummer. I am also in a private school. Same reason, except mine, is Christian and not Jewish. But thankfully mine has a creative writing class for high school. I hope yours makes one so you can have it too! Wow! You write by hand? I could never. My handwriting would just die along with my fingers! I have enough callouses already. One, actually. but still way too much for me. You must have the best handwriting ever! I literally have to split my computer screen so I can read and type at the same time, LOL. 

Your friend's earrings being fake makes a lot of sense. Wouldn't they, like, rot, if they weren't? And how could anyone forget Gred and Forge! I love them! They're so mischievous and basically mini Marauders. Bill is cool, and Charlie too! Also, fantasy is fiction. Now that you mention it, the Wizarding World is a really cool kind of fantasy. I suppose it's low because it is set in the real world, technically, but very fake. Huh! 

Middle Grade is great. You're working on your first book right now? Same! It is also, well, no. It's the opposite. Mine is more of a romantic YA, but I think it should be Middle Grade. It's written about 15 and 16-year-olds. Anyway, I respect you reading Middle Grade a lot, it's basically the best. No sloppy romance (most of the time) and tons of action, adventure, and character development! I do like YA though. I've read a lot accidentally and when they're not so romantic it's easier to get around. You remind me of one of my friends. She has a lot of ideas like you. However, I bet I have more; I have seventeen ideas! I used to write them sometimes at once, because since I have ADHD, my brain has a million and a quarter different train stations of thought and that just seems a lot easier. I decided to stop though because Gord recommended it and when I really thought about it, he was right! Is. Okay, that's just impressive. Plot is literally so hard to do for absolutely no good reason! And how do you organize your characters? Seems cool to know! 

Yes, yes, and yes again! I could read those books cover to cover over and over again. I love them so much! One of my comfort books simply because, I think I said this, it was the book that really got me into reading. I love them too and I'm way too old for them. Also, those books are Fudgetastic! 

Same. I was obsessed with KOTLC in 7th grade to the point I was on the Fandom page more often than not in class. I even made a YouTube channel for it, Lady Cielle. I still love it but I really don't like Sophie. She's somewhat of a Mary Sue! I get it. It is really cliché. Why would they ship her with her... cousin? Adopted or not. But anyway. I only read it for Keefe, really. Let me tell you, in 8.5, I literally skipped every single one of Sophie's chapters! I do not like her! Make a choice already! Is it Ritz Cracker or the Sensing Boy? Oh my goodness, that pun! C'mon, Madam Shannon!

I highly recommend reading Whatshisface. My very favorite book that Gordon Korman has written of the little bit that I have read. It is odd, but I love odd. Ghosts in phones? Renaissance + Contemporary? AWESOME! And fine, I'll read Unplugged, as I was planning to anyway. I probably will.

Okay, I hate lines. So maybe just fast pass or whatever they call it in universal, BECAUSE I GET TO GO THIS SUMMER! WOOP WOOP! And that's why I love CoS! It's just so magnificent in how it shows that no, Voldemort is not a game. I tried to start Don't Care High but it just won't work. I'll buy it though. No, I have not read Losing Joe's Place. I read a sample but that is it!  One of his best? Okay, I have to beg my mom to buy me more books now! Ooh, Sci-Fi is interesting. I am Beta Reading  some Sci-Fi so I will probably get that book too! Kate Messner? Cool! Also, your father is so right! It is amazing! It's just spectacular, Donovan is awesome! 

I sit at the geek table too. Well, it's not even in the cafeteria! It's in the Library because that's how much my best friends and I love books. We're in the same boat. I have two people I'd call real, great friends and I'd take my girls over the entire world any day.

I'm kind of a doofus because I basically posted my birthday on here, last year. But anyway. I'm almost 14 and a half! I'm in 8th grade, and it's finally almost over! Happy almost birthday.

Hey again! That wasn't as long as the last letter, which is great because I really don't have so much time on the computer right now (I finished my morning routine, so I have some extra time). My handwriting is kind of horrible, but readable and I can write neater if I want to, but I like to write and develop characters during class, when I finish what I'm supposed to be doing and the teacher isn't actually teaching anything. And you're right, a lot of Middle Grade romance is sloppy, annoying junk. Before I considered writing a full book, I was writing a bunch of short stories to make a book of short stories and then at the beginning of the school year I was like 'hey, the girls in my English class are making these cool, non-religious books, I want to do that!, so I am! A nd don't worry , my brother has ADD and ASD, so I get what you mean. So I made a list of all my characters and organized them into different categories. I have to go now, so I'll finish later

Hey, again. Call me lame, but I'm in a school orchestra. We don't have any writing classes for my grade so I just chose to play violin. My favorite type of music would have to be pop, country, and indie. I can't choose my favorite song because it changes every day! Writing is really fun for me but I mostly enjoy how once you right just one page or chapter you plant a seed that grows a whole new universe. If that makes any sense... My parents don't allow me to have discord anymore because they saw some bad words. I haven't took writing seriously either but I have a bunch of ideas. I like to write realistic fiction and fantasy mostly.

Once I organize my characters into family, friends, classmates, etc., I do what I call character development and write down their description, hobbies, etc. and the main character(s) get their own full page and along with that, they get their likes, dislikes, fears, and a few side hobbies and a little more character traits. You better read Unplugged! Duh I did vidiot on purpose! And I really, really, really like Restart. Did you read Operation Do-Over? I've considered reading it, but it also seems a little odd to me. YAY! you get to go to universal!!!! that's REAAAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLYYYYYYYYYY! exciting! I wouldn't. School orchestras are literally so cool! Playing an instrument is a talent not many people have or care to nourish. That's really cool for you. I'm sorry there are no writing classes! Also, the violin is awesome, as my mom used to play. Great choice! I get the indie and pop part, those two genres are awesome. I can't say much about country music as I don't haven't really listened to it before, despite being from the country. I get that about songs. It's just so hard with all of the songs that are out there!

Merlin's beard, that's exactly true! That's happened to me a lot before. I tell you, many of the ideas for my future works just appear in my mind. I recently just had a name come to me today: "Elora Ward". I could make a spectacular book on that! My idea for a character named Emmanuel stemmed from that exactly! Almost the same for Missy! Writing is like magic. I appreciate your many writing ideas! Some books have to be written, you know? Realistic Fiction and Fantasy are the best genres.

Hi. Yeah, this letter is gonna be a lot longer. So you're probably gonna be reading this later. I'm just gonna take forever and ever and ever to read. I get the handwriting thing. I write like that too. 'cause. I know I can write really well, but. There's just no point. I know what I'm writing and I know what I'm trying to say, and sometimes I even write in abbreviations because nobody's really gonna be reading it but me, right? And writing by hand gets really annoying sometimes because I'd rather type 'cause on the computer you can come, because:

First of all, you can move the text, you can change what it looks like, and It always looks neat. Um, yeah, I'm like you in class. I write anytime I can, really. But I also like to read during classes! Sometimes a class is just over and you're not really learning anything and you finish what you've been required to do, so why not write, right? Ha! It's also better. Well, it's really cool for you that you have a notebook. You can take it anywhere and nobody is really gonna have anything to say about that.

My school just gives us Chromebooks, so I use that most of the time 'cause I can access stuff and use stuff across the whole cyberspace with Google Docs and Word, I guess. That's what I'm using right now (text to speech). Yeah, Middle Grade romance is something else. Romance can be really annoying sometimes. I don't really like it. On another note, a book of short stories is so cool. That's a cool idea. It's kind of like Hideout! Oh, are you still gonna finish that and maybe publish it? I'm glad you saw the girls in your English class writing and making those books because it's really cool when new writers find what they wanna write! Because, as I told Logan, some books just have to be written. And read, obviously.

Good for you for doing and pursuing. Just do it! -Nike. I'm glad you understand about me being all over the place. Oh, OK. Yeah. I asked about your characters 'cause I don't really understand how one could do all of that while writing 'cause that's a lot more linear than using Milanote, for example. Oh, you do the relations thing. That's so cool. Yeah, those are so hard to do, but it's super awesome. You have them like that spider web of what everyone has to do with everyone. Those are complicated. Do you make it in a spider web type fashion, or do you just write it? Like left. Right. Yeah. I kind of forgot. Yeah, English is not Arabic. My bad. Yeah, I love that character. Development is awesome because if the character doesn't really have anything to the character, they're only one-dimensional and nobody wants to read about that. Oh, they get their own full page! How much do you write on them? That's so cool. And I am reading Unplugged. I'm on page 109 actually.

Oh, I love it so much! I really like that word, vidiot. You use some awesome words (Vidiot, Hugongous) Restart is so good. Oh my goodness, I've read it. A billion and 1/2 times accidentally and on purpose!  Yes, I did read Operation Do-Over. I read it all in a day. My friend got it from the library. She actually read it first, but then she gave it to me, which is super awesome. She returned it after. My friends are awesome. The book is amazing. I felt really bad at the beginning. It was awesome and I felt really bad about that part about the dog. But anyways, the dog didn't die. No More Dead Dogs! I said all that really quickly. And thank you. I'm super happy I get to go to Universal too. Yes, it's so exciting and thank you. I'm really sorry that you had a bad day. Thank you for your smile, because smiles are awesome and I love smiling smiles and I like smiles a lot and yeah. Thanks. I really do appreciate that. I hope whatever you're doing on the weekend is awesome. And yes, Chamber of Secrets is just so magnificent in that fashion. It's just so horrific.... A big revelation for everybody 'cause Voldemort, he is terrible. Yeah, you are saying really a lot, but I get it. Really is a really good adjective. Yeah, I kind of just realized what I just said. Oh my goodness, this is an entire page long, OK. Oh, you sit at the table with your friends. That's actually really nice. What did they even do at the geek table? We would do you guys do? Oh, that's a bummer. I'm sorry you don't get to eat in your library, but I kind of get it 'cause. what if you got food all over the books? That would be really lame. Also, why does your library have tables and not chairs? That's cool. Interesting. Intriguing. And yeah, I'm definitely gonna respond before Monday. I literally check this page every single day. Good news, my mom MIGHT let me get Discord! I need to work on a school project and my partner doesn't have a phone so it might be the only way to communicate with him. Yes, name ideas pop up all the time for me! I recently thought of a book idea and I'm really excited to put it into work. 

I am super glad you read Unplugged! It's one of my favorite books EVER. My favorite character is Tyrell probably but I really love Jett's character development. I almost ripped the page with all of the AMAZING plot twists. I am glad you are reading Masterminds because it is super cool. I read the first book for a book club project and I can't wait to get the whole trilogy soon. 

I also, if you haven't, recommend reading Schooled. It is a great and heartwarming book, despite it not being very recent.

She probably forget everything about violin because, well, that was over forty years ago. I can't wait for you to try it either! Yeah, Milanote is kind of hard to use, but once you've got it, you've got it for life. It grows on you. There are some tutorials on YouTube.

I have read Schooled. It was, like, the third or fourth Gordon Korman book I've read (ever), and also one that got me very obsessed with Gord's writing. I'm literally so blessed to have an endless supply of his books! But anyway, when I learned how old Gord's books were, it sure was news to me! His writing is literally timeless.

Wow, you came back! Heyo! Also, my forums have been posted many times or not at all quite a bit. Usually the latter, so I understand.

I sure do write/talk a lot, and Logan and Ruchama sure seem to like it, so I keep on going! I read a lot too. A lot of those books I have read, and they're really good. I did not know there was a sequel to Hatchet! It was on my 6th grade reading list and I loved it so much! I must read 39 Clues after Masterminds if Rick Riordan and all of those other awesome authors worked on it too! Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief is my go-to favorite book ever, since I can't actually choose from any of Gord's books, since I love Whatshisface, but technically I like Supergifted in the exact same way, and then all of the rest too! Like Unplugged! I literally learned so much from it. Kapow!

Wings of Fire is really good. I've started Loot. Operation Do-Over is also so good! You are reading a lot. My finals are also soon!

 

Anyway, bye, before my dad gets home and makes me do my chores so I can't write anymore since I'm doing chores.

Hi again! I am currently reading War Stories and it is super good! Has anybody else read it? I personally love how it changes from 1944 to 2020! I have almost read every single book by GK that our library even has! Did I mention that I love GK. (In a non-creepy way as Jade would say. LOL!!!)😃 One of my favorites is the Mastermind series. There are so many plot twist! It is so good!

GK's idea of a forum is totally awesome. He is also the only author I know that has one! I totally agree with you Aiden. It is awesome how he responds within 24 hours!

I have yet to start War Stories really. I own it, hardcover! I bought it at the book fair for $5. What about you? Those time skip things are so cool, and a book similar to that is Ground Zero by Alan Gratz. Same here! My new school's library has a lot more of Gord's books, so I'm Gratzful. Lol. Yes, and same, even though I don't know many authors. I only know Gordon Korman, Shannon Messenger, Justin Weinburger, Alan Gratz, and Jessie Paddock. At least those are the ones I've checked the websites of. 

Oh my goodness, Gord's responding time and at all is so, so cool! I never in my entire life thought I'd get to chat with the actual Gordon Something Korman! It's so radical! 

For the books: Yes. You should read Unplugged as its amazing! Read Linked too. No More Dead Dogs is literally so funny, I love Wallace Wallace! The redhead girl (even though I can't remember her name) (and I don't know if she's a redhead) with the brother is also one of the only female deuteragonists I've actually ever liked. Operation Do-Over is so good and such a smooth read!

Ey! It\'s Logan. Sorry for the late response.  When I have the time, yes I will find Milanote tutorials on Youtube. Yes, violin is a really cool instrument and I even learned the Harry Potter theme! Like you guys, I have read many different Gordon Korman books like: Restart, Schooled,No More Dead Dogs, Linked, Whatshisface, Ungifted, Supergifted, Masterminds, Unplugged, and the Unteachables. All really good.

I have read other books like the first five WoF books, Wonder, Auggie and Me, The Mysterious Benedict Society books 1 and 2, Land Of Stories, and many more. I am reading PJOLT right now and really enjoying it.

I was going to send Gordon Korman a letter for the big thing I wanted to ask him but then I figured out he had a readers forum! That would make it so much easier! I am really happy I can chat with him all the time. I wish I could do it to other authors, but life\'s not fair.

Hey! I'm back, so I'll respond to Jade: so, yah, I get why you like to use a computer. No, I don't use the 'spiderweb method', whatever that is. Right now, I'm not working on the short stories because I just wanna work on my book, but after I finish my book, maybe I'll work on it. I just write it, like I'll just do like Family:(whoever's in the family) as an example. Oh, and I went on an organization weekend retreat, and yeah it was super duper fun (the food was also super duper(: Hebrew is also right to left, BTW. They used to have computers in the library, which you weren't able to use unless you had a teacher's permission, and the tables were there for the computers, and there was also chairs, but over the summer they got rid of the computers and chairs, and that's the story of why we have a table in our library without chairs. You might not get this (message) for a while, so I am going to type this very quickly as I have somewhere to be in five. 

Computers are awesome! The spiderweb method is basically aligning everything except not linearly. It's putting the names of people in something similar to a brainstorm and connecting relations with colored lines to show which is which. I get that. Work on your book! I think they'll be equally cool, the book-book and the lots-of-books-book. Or anthology. An anthology is a collection of literature works, by the way. 

That retreat sounds like it was a blast! I'm glad you had fun there. Wait. You write in Hebrew? There's no way, that's literally so cool! (if I'm assuming correctly!) I also didn't know that about Hebrew! Thanks.

I've finished Unplugged by now! Absolutely spectacular. My favorite character is probably Tyrell. Now that I think about to, Brooklynne, Grace, and Jett are cool but Tyrell just reminds me so much as a kid, just like me! And you. And Logan, Aiden, and Josey. Thanks for reading Ungifted! Heya Jade, the spiderweb method sounds overly complicated. Since I'm Jewish and go to a private Jewish school (as you know), then yeah, I write Hebrew. Since I've been writing in Hebrew even before kindergarten, it's just part of my life, so I don't really think it's that cool. Yeah, Tyrell is just an amazing work of art and so is Jett. I really need to get Supergifted out of the library, I'm seriously dying to read it. and Josey and Logan, Wonder is really the best

You haven't read Linked? Honestly I think you should. It's a bit more serious than funny and deals with serious topics but is a heartwarming book overall. You thought the plot twists in Unplugged were incredible? Well, wait until you read Linked. If you like mystery it would be perfect for you. As it sounds, my favorite Gordon Korman book is Linked. 

For WoF, I read it when I was in 5th grade so I don't remember that much but I really like Glory and the Rainforest Kingdom itself. Mystery is a big portion of the books I read, so if anybody likes the genre this is the book I recommend:

Mysterious Benedict Society. You may have heard of the Disney + show that came out. The book is about a group of kids who apply for an academy. Four orphans get accepted in, but turns out, it's a spy mission! They go undercover to try to take down an evil villain who turns out to be closer to them then they thought- There is also 2 sequels and a reunion book. (3 sequels technically)

I have one for fantasy, but I will just say it later. I have been wanting to work on a book and will start on it soon and I hope it does not fall into the black hole of ideas. Yes, Wonder is my 3rd favorite book I have read.

And to all of y'all, Wonder was an awesome book! I think. I read it back in 4th grade so I don't recall all of it, but I know I liked it back then, before I even liked reading. It was also the first audiobook I'd ever read/heard.

to Josey: The plot of the book I'm working on is sort of your typical middle grade novel, but sort of with a twist: Girl moves to ohio from ny, her brother is then diagnosed with cancer, because of her brother, her parents don't spend much time on the girl and her siblings and are almost never home, she and her only friend get bullied, she is blamed about stealing classmates stuff, she finds out who is really stealing the stuff, she gets suspended for what looks like she is stealing a classmates belonging but really isn't, she tells her parents that they have been neglecting her and her siblings, she is failing in school, she saves her school from a robbery, the robber from before comes admits it was him, she is one of the most popular people in her grade, she gets to go back to ny for the summer, she learns that life is a rollercoaster ride.

I just need to come up with a name for the book

To Ruchama: That plot sounds great! Sometimes the name doesn't come to you until later, and sometimes it's what starts everything (for me!). Don't let that halt you. I promise, the name will come to you.

 

Does anyone ever just see something in real life, or live through something, and a scene literally write itself in your mind?

Definitely. At one point last winter I was hospitalized and after that, I almost finished a short mystery story that took place in a hospital. I could literally see, hear and even smell everything that my character was doing, hearing, seeing and smelling and maybe even at some point feel what my character was feeling, but I don't really remember what was going through my head when I was writing the story. And sometimes when I'm bored or need something to think of, like during class or when I'm walking by myself or something like that, I'll think of a scene and base it off of experiences or something I've seen. I've even based a character or two off from friends and siblings

UGH! I am so busy with finals! Sorry guys for the late reply. Also, Ruchama, I am sorry you were in the hospital and I hope you are better now. I'm glad you could find something good even from that experience, ex: an scene writing itself. I hope I get to read that short story one day, it sounds interesting! Mainly because of the mystery of you forgetting what was going through your mind as you wrote it. And same for the characters! Literally almost every character is based off of if not named after my loved ones. My main character is literally named after my mom. My mom did the same thing in her own book!

I'm back! It took me quite a while to catch up with everything that you guys wrote.

To Jade: there are actually 4 sequels to Hatchet: The River, Brian's Winter, Brian's Return, and Brian's Hunt. Too bad that the author, Gary Paulsen died from cardiac arrest last year. I really love his books, especially the Brian Saga. Also, the Percy Jackson series is awesome. I've read every single book Rick Riordian has written

To Ruchama: Its pretty cool that you know Hebrew. I am currently in Israel, (though I move around a lot) and take Hebrew lessons at school. Also, its pretty cool that you're writing your own book. I was sort of planning on doing one last summer with my sister, but we ran out of time. 

To Josey: Yeah, Wonder is an awesome book. I love how they show it from different perspectives, something that not a lot of books have. 

To Logan: I love WOF. I'm currently waiting for book 15: The Flames of Hope to come to my school library. I've read all the other ones including Darkstalker and Dragonslayer. Its one of my favorite series.

To Jade:thanks, yes I'm good now, you're mom is also an author?!, I like thinking and exploring different names, so I don't really use friend a friend's or family member's name, but some characers share personality traits that are similar to one or I will 'design' a character that I like with a friend in mind. Now that I think about it, the mother in my story is like my own mom in some ways.

To Aiden: where in Israel are you? what are you even doing There? I'ts actually cool that you're there. Have you been to the Kotel? have you been to Jerusalem yet? what places have you been to? He had great writing and was probably a great person. :( On another note, I do know how awesome Percy Jackson is! I'm such a big fan of Uncle Rick. Did you know that a Percy Jackson show is coming out on Disney+? The cast members for Percy Jackson, Annabeth Chase, and Grover Underwood are Walker Scobell, Leah Sava Jeffries, and Aryan Simhadri respectively. I'm very hyped for the show. Two Christmases ago, I got all of the 5 PJO books. (The Christmas after I got the rest of KOTLC and this last one I got all of Artemis Fowl <3.) 

How do you pronounce PJO? (I say Pee-Jay-Oh. I don't kn"Oh" why. LOL.)

To Ruchama: Oh goodie, and yes, she is! She inspired me and does to this day. She really only self-published though, but she says that I can basically have the rights to the book if I want it. I totally do because I could make so much money off of it from getting an agent (if I could even! Have you any clue how hard that is?) and yeah. It's Christian Fiction apparently, and it's called All The Wrong Places by Memphis Mathenia. That is not my mom's real name and the Mathenia is pronounced (Muh-Thee-Knee). No "uh". Anyway, I want to make a ton of $$$ from selling the rest of her hundred give or take copies. I'd give y'all one, but it is a MA book, so even I am not allowed to read it. However, since I am 14 and turning 15 in a little bit over half a year, she is letting me read it!

Exploring names is fun! Do you use baby name websites? I know a ton of links to some which are really helpful. This is super great because a lot of times my characters' names have meanings. For one, Lottie had meaning because it's related to my mom, but Castor has meaning because Castor is a constellation and astronomy means a lot to me. You see? Are your characters named like that (with names with meaning)? Making a character have personalities like people you know is really smart because you know how those interactions would go. I think my mom agrees. And, same!

P.S. (To All) I just realized that sometimes, I sound like Roddy from Whatshisface, in how I speak modernly but sometimes have a few bouts of sounding like a British lad in the 1920s.

Hey Jade, that's really cool that you're mom is your inspiration, but I probably wouldn't have the patience to read an adult book. Is she planning/writing another book? Some of my character's names are the English translations of Jewish names and the rest are just totally random names or names that I like, but my main, main character is the name my one of my brother's therapists used when she worked. and we really liked that therapist, and when covid came along, we felt really bad for her because she was supposed to go to a hotel for passover with her family, but then covid came and she was stuck in ny with her family. I checked out a few baby naming websites after I read your response, and one was actually really helpful. What does have meaning, though are adresses and sometimes street names. a lot of Harry potter names were from constellations, like draco, bellatrix, sirius and a bunch of others

Sorry for keeping you waiting, Ruchama! So, yeah, thanks. I also doubt I'll have the patience to read an 'adult' book, but I read 

 'adult' fanfiction all of the time, so, maybe! She is, sort of! My mom really wants to write one of the ideas I have, and since it's one of my million, I said sure. Also, that's quite creative. THe backstory behind your main character's name is so sweet. It must be an honor to that therapist, if she does ever know!  I'm sorry she couldn't celebrate passover with her family. I'm glad I could help you out with the baby name suggestions! Yeah! Not exactly sure what you mean by the street names and address things, but a lot of the Harry Potter names do have meanings like that. Isn't it funny how "Sirius" means "Dogstar"? And it's the brightest star in the sky? I always love to (probably) point it out at night. Literally the only thing my, what, probably -10.5/20 vision is useful for.

To Ruchama: So, Ruchama! About your vacation sleepaway camp? That's so cool! Sleepaways are amazing (not that I'd know. My mom says I can probably go to one next year, but that is so far away!) Are you excited for it? Also, since your school ends in two weeks, it must start up very late in the year. I hope these next weeks are super breezy for you and that you don't have a lot of finals, if any at all! Finals are something else! You might be as busy as I was; I couldn't even chat on here a lot! That's a bummer that you can't go to sleepaway camp. I've been going to the same sleepaway (the one I'm going to) for 4 years now, since I was 9. Of course I'm excited for it! My school usually starts around the 1st week of September, but they started on the day of August this year, probably because they're ending earlier than they usually do. I usually have about 1-2 tests a week, so it's the usual for me, and I only have 2 finals this year, but next year I have finals in every subject. That's great that you got a 97. Anyway, Ruchama, you're so lucky! Ah, your school starts then? It must be more Northern than mine. Sounds like my dad's old school! I didn't know schools could just change when they started. That's cool! And what? 1-2 tests a week?! I could never! Oh, yeah, I forgot. In 7th grade I also only had two finals, but that was per semester. At least you will be very prepared! Also, congratulations on your 97 on your History test, that is such a good grade! 

Biology is cool, I think. I don't even know what it is, even though I have to take it next year. However, if biology (the study of life) is, like, about medicine and diseases or whatever, I LOVE IT! As I said. I told you. I almost forgot I did. I'm particularly obsessed with the food medicine stuff! What of you?

"b. cereus" is a bacteria that forms in the danger zone (41-135) degrees Fahrenheit on particularly starchy foods, like pasta. It happens when they are not stored properly or just in that degree zone! It can cause you to be very sick (nausea, gastrointestinal disturbances) and literally kill you. This bacteria literally decays your liver to the point of failure and immediate need for a transplant! It also affects some cord in the back of your neck that then messes with your unconscious bodily functions, like your brain working, your respiratory system, and your digestive system! This one guy's skin and sclera yellowed because of it! Cool.

Did you know that you can die from water intoxication? Basically, our bodies expel (or try to) water, right? Our kidneys, like, process this water as we drink it. However, if we drink so much water that our kidneys don't have enough time to process it, our kidneys swell and expel it into our bloodstream! This then dilutes our blood and takes down the Sodium levels, and without this salt, we can get a brain condition calls ODS, which basically causes seizures and other really not cool brain stuff. Then, our brain swells and so our brain cells swell, and then that means the organic layer covering and protecting those cells and so we can die! But thankfully it's very hard to do on accident unless you are dehydrated. This water intoxication happens if you drink, like, five liters of water in a few hours. Very difficult.

Also! Potatoes are in the same family as nightshade! Nightshade! Aconite, wolfsbane, whatever! So are petunias, tomatoes, cucumbers, eggplant, tobacco, and something else. Anyway, that means when potatoes rot they produce Solanine which basically interacts very badly with a lot of animals, including humans. This can be seen if a potato is green. It literally kills people! So anyway, this thing can get into the air and just reproduce in stagnant air! People can die from this poisoning and it also blocks out oxygen. It can cause nausea, and gastrointestinal distress, and it can literally take your breath away! Forever. It blocks oxygen. It can also cause CNS Depression. Basically central nervous system depression which is very bad.

Also, glitter is harmful. If it gets in your eye it can tear your cornea and blind you, so much you have to get your eye removed! Also, in an unfortunate case, a seven-year-old breathed in some glitter and since it got in his lungs it hurt him a lot. Since this glitter was made of zinc and copper, it basically disabled his lungs from producing the proper carbon and filtering the oxygen so he could not breathe. He passed away after two weeks. :(

Don't eat rotten meat! Or dropped food, for that matter. It can be fine, but the more moisture a food item has, the more quickly it picks up bacteria! Also, did you know carpet is actually the safest surface to drop food on? The item doesn't touch all of the carpet due to the fluffiness, so, less contact and less germs. Which is rad! Okay.

Okay but, this one time a woman popped a pimple and she got NSTI in it! That's a disease that actually destroys the fascia of the skin, which is almost half of the skin layers! It's sad because it's usually misdiagnosed until it begins to destroy the skin. It can cause very high fevers, nausea, gastrointestinal distress, dizzyness, and all that jazz. It's really lame.

Also! Did you know there are two kinds of narcolepsy? Narcolepsy with cataplexy and narcolepsy without cataplexy. Cataplexy is basically losing control of your body so it either does whatever or stops doing anything, so, paralysis. It is associated with really strong emotions. This is why I asked if Ben from Swindle had either!

I had to condense that a lot. Yeah, I really like this body stuff for some reason. I don't even know why. I watched one video and now I'm obsessed!

To Ruchama: My dad has a job in the US embassy so approximately every two years we move to a different country. We've been living in Jerusalem for almost two years now, so next month we're going to Nigeria. In all the time I've been here, I've never even heard of Kotel.

Jade: wow, you talk about me that much?! Actually on Saturday me and my brother were playing guess who (not the board game) and I did you and he couldn't guess you. I get what you mean. If we would make another topic because Mr. K finally got annoyed at us (I don't know why he would) we should probably call it potterheads or something like that. Great, I'll make sure to check out brew. That sounds really funny. Last year i read a book about this lady who had a tumor in her uterus and after that her son died of chicken pocks and the doctor thinks that since he was scratching himself so much, his skin got infected and then that infection got into his bloodstream and killed him:(. And while she was getting treatment for her tumor, she was given medicine through an IV and her nurse said to be careful because if even on drop of that medicine got on your skin it can burn through all the layers of your skin. Cool, no? I have cousins in Atlanta, but I usually see them once or twice a year. the last time I saw them was in january. That sounds like fun, especially the cookout(:

I do talk to my mom a lot and since I am on this site a lot, you come up a lot. (I talk a lot about everything, if you couldn't tell.) (But I think my mom was joking since I can barely remember a time I was around her and she wasn't blabbing about something or another.) (One of the characters in my book, Mikey, is exactly like that, you know?) I looked up how to pronounce your name so I didn't say it wrong. LOL. Also, that was so evil! Have you read The Hobbit? A scene like this happened with Bilbo and Gollum!

The book says, "“What have I got in my pocket?” he said aloud. He was talking to himself, but Gollum thought it was a riddle, and he was frightfully upset. “Not fair! not fair!” he hissed. “It isn’t fair, my precious, is it, to ask us what it’s got in its nassty little pocketses?” Bilbo seeing what had happened and having nothing better to ask stuck to his question, “What have I got in my pocket?” he said louder," (Tolkien 76). 

I'd be very, very shocked if he did guess me anyway! LOL, I think I have annoyed Gord to the high heavens from all of the forum posts I have made on here, but I will never stop! Also that would be very funny since this is his site and not the Wizarding World! Totally check out the channel! About that lady, that is really sad! And that medicine sounds terrifying! Imagine melting through all of the layers of skin... which is a little bit of muscle, quite a bit of fat, and everything else fascia. Wow, getting infected from scratches would be so devastating! I'm sorry for his family if that was a true story. Anyway, that is really cool.

Ruchama, how do you have cousins, like, everywhere?! It's cool how you have cousins down here, anywho. 

Yes, the cookout was tons of fun! There was actually another one going on. However, I don't hang with my sister a lot (she's 29, super old) so I decided to go with her and I don't regret it at all! A toddler was there and he was so cute. I got to hold him like I was his mom or something and it was super fun. Highly recommended.

Wanna know a medical horror story? Well, it isn't a medical horror... it's more like a horror that happened in a hospital. Basically, a person with jet black hair and pure white skin with no eyes and nose, I think, went into the hospital in the 40s and kept saying that they were God and there was no record of them ever existing. Also, they bit a doctor and then disappeared in the night. Nothing else is recorded of that person!

Here's an actual medical horror story. (This is the NSTI story). A woman was shaving, and from that, she got a pimple. She popped it and didn't think anything of it until she began to feel dizzy, nauseous, have gastrointestinal distress, and all sorts of that! She even got a fever. She went to the doctor and they prescribed her incorrectly because the disease she had was so rare! It was NSTI, and you already know what that is. (#NoMoreFascia) Anyway, by the time the doctors knew she had NSTI, her skin was rotting! She had to do an emergency surgery and they took skin from her back to replace the skin on her legs because if they didn't, it could spread to the rest of her body and at best, she'd have to get her legs amputated. Thankfully, she didn't have to get them amputated!

A man was a lumberjack (I think) and got a pimple on his shoulder. He thought nothing of it! After he slept that night, the pimple swelled so large it took up a lot of his shoulder so he went to the doctor. The doctor incorrectly prescribed medicine for him and the next day, the man got a 103* Fahrenheit fever! He told his wife not to call the hospital, but when he fell asleep, she did. Thankfully! If she had not he surely would have died! Turned out the man has NSTI, and all of that shoulder had to be removed. Fortunately it did not spread.

Also, water intoxication! Can you believe a woman, Jennifer Strange, back in 2007, joined a water drinking competition to win a Wii for her three children? So, after the woman drank about eight bottles of water in about three hours, she began to feel headaches and other tell-tale signs of water intoxication. She then, getting second place, left the competition and headed home. A few hours later her mother found her corpse in the bathroom, as the woman had died of water intoxication. Thankfully, her husband sued the company and got $16.5 million dollars. It was still a devastating situation.

A young athlete, Vyrees Oliver, was dehydrated after practice and got stomach cramps. He decided to drink two gallons of water and then two gallons of Gaterade all within one hour! He felt terrible afterward with a horrid migraine and went home and slept. When he woke up he felt better so he did not go to the hospital, but then he suddenly fainted and had to be taken to the hospital via. helicopter. Unfortunately, he passed away from water intoxication, only a day before he would have become a high school senior.

Man! Potatoes! Once, an entire clump of villages in Korea a few decades ago got wiped out from having to eat rotten potatoes (due to famine) and what, 382+ people died! Also, in the UK, some rotten potatoes got put in the peeler and seventy or so boys got super sick, along with a few teachers. Thankfully, nobody died, but they vomited in the hallways and had hallucinations for up to two weeks into their recoveries. Also! This is the worst one. A girl's family in a country near Russia had a root cellar with rotten potatoes in it. One day, her dad went to get some potatoes down there but he never came back up! Then, her mom went, didn't return, so her brother went, didn't return, and lastly, her grandmother went and did not return. Thinking it was a prank, the girl went down there too. She found her entire family dead in the really stinkly solanine odor! Her family had all either died of lack of oxygen or solanine poisoning, unfortunately. :( There was no ventilation in the cellar and thus, the solanine only became more and more in there until it was all there was in the air! Thankfully, she did not die because her grandmother had left the door open, which let the nasty solanine air fan out into some good oxygen, thus diluting it and allowing the little girl to live. She was seven.

That was really long, Jade! Those stories were cool and sad at the same time, although the last story has a kinda happy ending. Yes, that story was true, but that lady had a bunch of children after that son died, so all was good. I have a baby brother and he's almost 3 months old, I think and he's adorable (duh). And the first story is super creepy. That guy sounds almost like Voldemort or a dementor. I've never read The Hobbit. My mother made a new thing that if we do chores, we earn 20 minutes of tablet for each chore we do, but mopping is 40 minutes because you first have to sweep and then mop, but we got a rumba, so I don't know if it's still 40 minutes. I don't really talk about you that much. My parents know about you, or at least my dad does, and only because my brother complains that I'm "taking too long writing 1 stupid email to Jade on gordonkorman.com" (don't be offended, although you have a brother, so you know what it's like.) but also, I think it was fair that I did you during our guess who game, cuz he did the guy who made minecraft even though he didn't know the guy's actual name. wait, you had to look up how to pronounce my name? That's actually hilarious! So are you able to pronounce it now? I don't have cousins everywhere. mostly just in ny and nj, although i also have some in ohio and conneticut. I have another story, although it's not exactly a horror story: one of my friend's sister is allergic to nuts and one day she ate something, not knowing it had nuts in it. Her mother gave her Benadryl or something like that for her allergic reaction and told her to go to sleep while she called an ambulance or something. But she didn't want to go to sleep. Later, they realized if she went to sleep, she could have died! Sorry if this sounded kind of flaky, my friend told me this a while ago and this happened to my friend's sister when she was like 4 and ny now she's in 2nd grade, I think

The stories were sad in how people were dying and very hurt but very cool how those diseases and disorders in their bodies worked! I am also happy the little girl lived. I'm glad the woman had more kids! What? You have a baby brother? You're so lucky, babies are so cute. Yes, Gollum is literally terrifying! He looks like a house elf gone wrong. You can just look him up, but the movies do him no justice. I'd tell you who he really was but I don't want to spoil The Lord of the Rings for you. (The Hobbit is the prequel to The Lord of the Rings, as The Silmarillion is the sequel. Such a pretty word, silmarillion!) Also, that thing your mom does it cool! I've heard of that system before. What is a rumba? BTW, I really don't mean to sound creepy. I don't talk about you a lot in my terms, you see. Since I talk a lot in general, I talk of you and everyone else on here a normal amount in my own terms.  For example, I talk about Harry Potter more than anything else. Also, LOL at your brother and dad knowing about me, specifically about your brother. None taken. My brother literally pinches me when he comes to visit, so, I don't think that could offend me. Plus, I volunteer with a bunch of super savage 10-year-olds who aren't always the nicest. Okay, yeah, during your game that's fair, because how would you guess the Minecraft guy! Who was it, anywho? PinkSheep? DanTDM?

Yes, I did. I pronounce things wrong a lot and I've never in my whole life heard of a word similar to your name at all, except for the imperfect form of words in Spanish, and turns out my pronunciation was correct! And yes I am, turns out I always have been able to pronounce your name. Ugh, that's so dumb! Why is it 'pronounce' but 'pronunciation'? English is such a goofball. Eh, that makes sense. To be honest, I didn't know Ohio was near those states. I also didn't know Iowa was far away from Indiana, so what does that say about me? 

I'm glad your friend's sister didn't fall asleep and die five years ago. Yeah, don't go to sleep when sick like that! Your brain can like, do bad things, or something. That wasn't a joke by the way, I literally just don't know what it's called. Just don't go to sleep when you're sick like that or have a concussion, because yes, you can totally die which is really bad and sad.

I know you probably won't read this in a few hours, but since it's Memorial day, I've been home since 12 and had nothing else to do and my brother has a friend over, so... yeah. and babies cry and need to be fed, burped and held a lot, too. a rumba is a sorta robotic vacuum and sometimes mop. you should really just look it up. Honestly, I know people who have ADHD, so I get what you mean and I didn't think it was creepy. It was Notch, so that justified it. And I've never heard of him before, so my brother was cheating. BTW, if you want the honest truth (which I give to people a lot) and not the sugar-coated one, it says that you should pay more attention in Geography class. Super long while. Really only two hours, but, hey again. Understandable! Yes, babies are like that, but they are so cute too! My mom wouldn't stop telling me about how terrible I was as a baby. Oh! I guess, technically, I've met someone named "mercy" now. My names means good fortune, luck, wealth, and essentially is a gift. And yes totally, I love giving information! 

If you couldn't tell, yes, I'm the youngest. Of three. My sister is 29 and my brother is 26. And... I'm 14. (Wow, old!) It feels like I am an only child since they've been out the house since I was, what, six? I thought you were the middle child. That's cool!

2 hours can be a while. Yeah, I knew that rumba was also a dance. You know what I just realized? We should totally make a book suggestion topic forum thingy. And the way it could work is that you just "say" what genre you want or a book similar to a different book and someone who knows a book(s) in that genre or similar to that book can suggest it, and if they know the author, give the author's name. My brother wouldn't stop crying (the older one). We always have history, although it's always called different things like social studies, geography or civil studies(or something like that). I could kind of tell. I used to be the oldest of 3 until 3 months ago (obviously). So now I have an almost 3 month brother, a 6 year old sister, a 9 year old brother and me and I'm almost 13

There was actually a meeting for it but I missed it, but it's ok, it was boring and the teacher told me everything anyway. For some reason, I thought your not-baby brother was older than you. What's it like having three (younger) siblings?

And for real, actually happy almost birthday! I just realized you and Logan have close birthdays. Anyways, a while ago (May 11) you said you would turn 13 in less than a month, so I think you are almost 13? So happy almost birthday!

Sorry he was crying all the time. I hope he's okay and he stopped crying! Also, I've never understood that! All of my classes Pre-Middle School had different names but were all the exact same thing. Mine had no sort of structure like yours, which is actually pretty cool! Geography is really important. Do y'all talk about wars? That's a seemingly random question, but in my school, they don't let the teachers talk about wars a lot for some reason. Only this year, when we are almost High Schoolers! And thanks, LOL. I really appreciate you putting the "-Sorry Not Spam" on the title because that helped me find it, and maybe even help others originating from this post find it too. And thanks. Also, random alert. I was talking about writing with someone on that discord server I talked about a while back today, and we talked about perspective! (Also, happy June!) What is your favorite perspective and tense to write in, and why? I'm also going to ask Gord, since he's written a billion books. Anyway, mine is third person past-tense because past-tense is really easy to write and third-person is how I feel when reading. I feel like I'm spectating the MC's life and I know what emotions they're feeling, but there is a filter that really separates me from actually being there due to me just reading, you know?

Yesterday during geography, I realized that I got A's in Geography (it was called history) last year, but for some reason I'm in the low class which I like and hate at the same time. What do you mean? Of course you should go to Universal!! It's DEFINITELY worth it, and then maybe you can find a different way to earn the money. My holiday starts Friday night. And it goes through Sabbath. How do you even get all A's? Oh, tell your mom I say Happy birthday, today (friday for me) is her birthday, right? Yeah, I don't get it either. If I had been put in the highest class, I would've been with my best friend and I would have wanted that, especially since we only have 2 classes together.

Oh, the issue was resolved! My mom gave me the $100 anyway because she's just that awesome. I wanted to spend it all, but then I realized I should save my money. Yeah, and yeah! (Also I just remembered my allowance was ten dollars. I need to do my chores more.) I'm excited that you have a holiday so you have lots of fun. Chag Kasher V/'sameach. I know that was probably rhetorical, but I almost didn't get an A on my Math final. (It wouldn't be a bad thing. For a while, I really expected to get, like, an 85 at best!) It was still super fun to do, I loved it. I really like math, actually. I literally got a 90 on the dot, which was a blessing. It barely even brought my grade down. That's what I get for studying so late! And I got a 93 on my English final. I should have gotten higher because that final was an actual project I had, like, a month and a half to do, but I really messed up on the last two parts because I FORGOT TO DO IT!! Literally! I was speed running those four paragraphs twenty minutes before they were due. But, overall, my school is so easy. And I don't mean that to sound snotty, but the teachers are so lenient and nice to us, they always bump up grades and barely give us tests ever.

And totally I will. Thanks for the birthday wishes to my mom. 

Your class system is weird! But next year, I hope you get to be in the same class as your best friend. I know that having very few classes with your friends is so lame.

That's great and really smart. I used the 1oo$ my aunt and uncle gave me on a hoverboard and my parents paid the rest. It ended up breaking, though): I don't like math. I hope I get a good grade on my math final, It's the day before my birthday. my teachers are pretty good. one of my minor teachers is my neighbor and she really likes me because most of my class is the popular, stupid girls, so she gave me an A cuz she said that she knows i work hard (I don't really work that hard) but it was nice of her to bump my grade up to a 95 when I didn't think I deserved it. Those are really good grades. For English, our final is spaced out with 4 quizzes over the course of about 3 weeks. The quizzes are called GrammAr Quests (according to her, that's the proper spelling and if we don't spell it like that on our quizzes, we get points off. I spelled it like that the whole year)  and she does what she calls Quest Specials, where she goes around and checks everyone's answers. If an answer is wrong, she'll circle it and give some advice, which has really helped me. Wow, that's serious procastination! Is that how you spell it? Tell your mom I say you're welcome. was she happy that I said happy birthday? My friend is mostly in high classes, while I'm...not. but I'm working on it. The only reason why I'm not in high science is because I dropped out of science last year after about a month. Our teacher was horrible and couldn't control a class. I hate like half the girls in my classes, and some of the classes are just lame.

Its been a while since I've gone on this forum and I have to say, I was expecting a lot more posts.  The last time I didn't check it for a while it took me 20 mins to be fully catched up. I'm in the USA now, it feels good to be home, even if its only for vacation. I found Operation Do-Over in the Arlington Public Library yesterday and they let me keep it for free. The librarians there said that Gordon Korman had visited them and all the middle schools there last schoolyear, too bad I missed out on that. It would have been cool to meet him in real life and he would recognize my name since I've written to him here. By the way, I'm now halfway through Operation Do-Over. I consider it my second favorite of his books after Restart.                                                   We are writing less and less in this space. Come on, guys, where did the three messages per day go? I didn't even know there was another space for book suggestions, but I've got plenty! I'm checking that out as soon as I finish writing this. I usually only write here on the weekends but since its summer vacation, I have a lot more free time. I could use some book suggestions too, I'm plowing though all the books I have and I'm planning on returning to the library soon.

Wow. Why am I acting like such an old person? I've literally only been on here for three years. But I feel like I've seen so much of the Forum.

I know you probably won't see this, but I miss you guys. A lot. Josey, Aiden, Logan (though not too much), and especially you, Ruchama. I asked some Jewish guy how to pronounce your name. He said the sound didn't even exist in English. Sigh.

I remember that huge email thread we had when you found my email and messaged me. Goodness. Times were so, so fun.

Also, Logan, I don't miss you too much since you came back. That made me very happy by the way. So glad to have you back!!!

I just realized there's so many memories I've made on and because of this Forum. For one, finding out that Raymond Jardine is in fact not a robot... finding all of these cool people on here... Ruchama... goodness. That makes me sad. 

Oh. And by the way, did you know Ruchama got her foot amputated? I don't know if that's personal, but she put it in her bio and everything on Scratch. Fun fact!

 

Anyways... I miss you guys. If you ever come back (except Logan, hi!) don't forget Sorry for Spam. Don't forget Gord, actually. Please. He's too awesome!
