Salena HarrisDear Mr. Korman,
During one of my small groups in my 4th grade classroom, we selected to read Book 1 of the Island series. Well, it didn't take us long to decide to read Book 2 and 3! My kids loved it! In fact, it stirred up quite the conversation that led to me writing this to you. We think you should consider turning this series into an online tv mini series. Most recently Rick Riordan has begun turning his Percy Jackson book series into a Disney+ TV series. What's stopping you from the same? The Island series has so much potential for great television moments. The character builds are deep and they each have a strong back story that could open up so much storyline. We just wanted to plant the seed and see if anything grows. I can tell you that I know many 10 year old's who would tune in each week - and at least one 43 year old teacher. LOL! Thanks for reading!

Thanks for posting. I'm pleased to hear that ISLAND went over so well with you!
The reason Percy Jackson is on TV and ISLAND isn't is very basic: Rick Riordan didn't put it there; Disney did. And they don't appear to be interested in ISLAND. Sorry. It's just that authors don't make TV shows; film companies like Disney do. Sigh. Believe me, I'd love to see ISLAND (and my other trilogies, EVEREST and DIVE) make it to television!
But thanks for the praise, and thanks for the thought! -----Gordon Korman-----
