I just want to start out with how I'm so glad I read this. Big kudos to Ruchama for the suggestion. This book was so great, Gord! I've already written a review, but Jett is written in a state of the art, spoiled rich kid style, yet not too bratty where it irks your nerves but to the point where it's sort of like a poke on the shoulder. Insistently. His character has flaws, like any person ever would, which makes him so real and so much more complex! Three-dimensional characters are spectacular. It's even better, as not only he but Grace, Tyrell, and Brooklynne. It's like I met them personally! I do have a few questions, though.

1) Why does Jett call his dad by his first name, yet his mom by "Mom"?

2) Where did you get inspiration for the book?

a. Where did you get inspiration for the alligator plot?

b. Why did you choose the alligator plot?

3) Are the books in the page before the "Back Ad" your favorites that you have written?

a. If not, what is the relevance of those books? (Pop, Ungifted, Masterminds, Masterminds: Criminal Destiny, Masterminds: Payback, Supergifted, The Unteachables, and Notorious)

Speaking of Masterminds, my copies got delivered! I am going to start reading them now since I finished Unplugged.

Glad you enjoyed UNPLUGGED. It's becoming pretty popular.

Questions: 1) Jett calls his Dad by his first name because he feels close to him, but not close to Mom, who is rarely around.

2) I don't require what you call "inspiration." I write because writing is what I do. The alligator plot came from the same place all of it comes from. I chose it because I very much disapprove of the alligator hide business -- not that alligators are my favorite friendly animal!

3) I didn't choose those books. Their relevance seems to be that they're mine and that they're fairly recent releases, and readily available to potential readers.
