Dear Mr. Korman,

I have been enjoying re-discovering you as an author. When my grown sons were young, you were one of their favorites. I have recently moved into a fifth grade position from teaching high school English. Next year, our school theme is \"Once Upon a Time\". Our fifth grade team has chosen to decorate our doors and rooms with a Gordon Korman theme. We will be promoting your books all year and finish the year with a 5th Grade Battle of the Books over 6 of our favorite books you have written. Our biggest problem is choosing the books; you have so many great ones! Thank you for keeping reading exciting for students. My youngest son (an upcoming 5th grader) is reading Whatshisface now. He loves it!!!

Here\'s to a year of Gordon Korman!!! I can\'t wait to see how many of your books our students read this year.

The honor falls on the year that my 100th book is coming out -- title: THE FORT, so it's really great to know that Cass ES is honoring me on a special occasion.
