Hi! I told Jade I'd make this new topic where someone posts a genre or book, and whoever knows a book or books in that genre or knows a book(s) that is similar to that book, they will post that book(s) I hope you aren't too mad about this, Gord. I hope to be suggesting books real soon!

    I have some: Paper Things

    Out Of My Mind

     Chance To Fly

I hope to get suggestions real soon!

Okay, so for PERCY JACKSON, I suggest either FLOAT by Laura Martin or BOUNDERS by Monica Tesler; for INSERT COIN TO CONTINUE, I suggest any of John David Anderson’s other books—there’s so many and they’re all SO good; and for HITCHHIKER’S GUIDE, I recommend CHRONICLE OF THE DARK STAR by Kevin Emerson (it honestly feels like HITCHHIKER’S GUIDE for a middle grade audience.)

Hi! Gord, I have never read The Hitchikers Guide to the Galaxy YET but I will be going on a book shopping spree soon so...

Artemis Fowl: Love the book and amazing! If you like stuff like this you might like Mysterious Benedict Society. It has all the great depths of mystery just no fantasy.

I recommend Wings of Fire. I have only read the first 5 but have enjoyed them so much.

The Land of Stories. Oh my gosh was this a great fantasy adventure! It has a mix of the hilarious humor (Almost kind of like Gord writes) and tells so much

I have not gone on a book spree in a while but I will soon get some.

OH MY GOSH! I have almost forgot about Amari and the Night Brothers. This is less for an older audience, but made for pre-teens and great for kids about to enter middle school. It is mostly made for girls, but I think anyone can enjoy it. It deals with some serious stuff but it is the fantasy of Harry Potter mixed with the fantasy of Percy Jackson.

Those are a few books, but I don't want to suggest Harry Potter because most people like this or know about it.

    Have a good day/night,

    Logan

I have a suggestion by the author of Lost in The Sun, which is by Lisa Graff: The Treehouse War. It's a little childish, but still very good.

I couldn't help it! Sorry, Gord. (I have a problem for correcting everyone--including adults. And I promise it actually is a problem, because people think I respect them less. Which I don't. But still, it's rather rude, so I'll stop. Maybe.) That's a very long slip, but I do wish I could get the book (I pre-ordered it on the 16th, I think, and that was a long while ago) on June 23rd. But the 28th is in two days, and it turns out not only is it released then, but it is also going to be delivered then, to my own house, hardcover and all! That's one of the pros of living five minutes away from an Amazon factory. It's a countdown! Last time, I missed it when Operation Do-Over came out. I also see why you say your books in all caps. Apparently, agents like that. Also, I just learned that you only do all caps for the books you write. I love the internet. It makes me avoid embarrassing myself, but then again, I don't get embarrassed, because it's overrated... so... but still. Thanks, random published author!

Gord, have you read The Voyage of the Dawn Treader? You too, Ruchama, if you see this. But you probably haven't, since it's a literary novel and it's only required to be read when you're in high school, but maybe you like C.S. Lewis books. I know I do.

Correction. That was just an opinion; another author said nobody actually cares. Thus, I will have my own opinion, and only write books in italics because that's what you're supposed to do in essays, which is also the only time a book title's state of font (I made that up) matters. So! Also, I probably wouldn't look as cool as Gord when he writes books in all caps. By the way, Gord, it looks really cool when you do that. I'll be that cool one day. You also just reminded me I need to hurry up and do my English homework so I can hurry up and write some books so I can beat you, because I am totally going to beat you at how many books you write, because since you are going to write books until the very moment you die I think, I am too, but I am going to do it slightly faster so if you have 514 books when you die, I will have 514 books and an author's note. So, ha. I am not going to be your rival. Even if you don't know it! But now you know it... so... but I also might have Ruchama as competition. And Logan. And everyone in my writing group. But I will trump you all! Muahahaha!

That's great! Your website is the perfect place for readers (and writers) our age to come along and chat! I agree with you. No, its not very easy to keep it up in the summer, but I am going to continue to! I'm hoping for Logan, Aiden, and Josey to make an appearance. For now it's just Ruchama and me, but I guess you count too. Also, I really shouldn't be asking for book recommendations because I just pulled out all the books I bought and haven't read and THIS is the pile(s).

    Hey everyone!

As soon as the fort comes out I am going to try to buy it. It sounds very good.

I am kind of stepping out of my comfort zone with my books a bit more. Usually, I get recommended books or books I have been wanting to read. My library had only 2 Gordon Korman books that I have already read. The other books I wanted were not on shelves either. Turns out, I got 3 awesome books and they are very interesting.

Have a good day or night,

I am kind of stepping out of my comfort zone with my books a bit more. Usually, I get recommended books or books I have been wanting to read. My library had only 2 Gordon Korman books that I have already read. The other books I wanted were not on shelves either. Turns out, I got 3 awesome books and they are very interesting.

Have a good day or night,

    Logan

    Hi!

Wow, those are a lot of suggestions! And, to be honest, I only know about/have read about half of these. On the other hand, that other half is plenty of books to keep me occupied this summer.

    Some Suggestions:

Percy Jackson, Heroes of Olympus and Kane Chronicles by Rick Riordian(He's made other series but those are his best)

Ranger's Apprentice, Brotherband Chronicles, The Early Years and The Royal Ranger by John Flanagan

Hatchet and it's sequels, Woods Runner, and any other books made by Gary Paulsen (RIP)

    Seven Wonders by Peter Lerangis

The 39 clues  (Its a huge series with 27 books made by multiple authors like Gordon Korman, Rick Riordian, ETC).

The Ascendance Series by Jennifer A. Nielsen

Wings of Fire by Tui T. Sutherland

    Alex Rider by Anthony Horowitz

The Tiger Rising by Kate Dicamilo

Those are my favorite modern children novels, now for some classics:

The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, the Prince and the Pauper, A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court by Mark Twain

The Jungle Book and Just So Stories by Rudyard Kipling

The Wizard of Oz and It's Sequels by L. Frank Baum

All the Sherlock Holmes stories by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle

Where the Red Fern Grows by Wilson Rawls

My brother Sam is dead by the Collier Brothers

    Rascal by Sterling North

The Chronicles of Narnia by CS Lewis

The Lord of the Rings Series by JRR Tolkien (A personal favorite)

Hamlet, Macbeth, King Lear, Julius Caesar, Antony and Cleopatra, King Henry IV part 1,2 and 3 and Romeo &Juliet by William Shakespeare.

That's all the books I can recall for now, tell me if you like them!

Hey guys. The Mr. Lemoncello series is AWESOME and Tornado Brain and it's sequel, Paper Heart. Also, the series How Unladylike of you, I think it is called. I don't know the official name, but the 1st 2 books in the series are

Murder Is Bad Manners and Poison Is Not Polite. As you can tell, they are murder mysteries. Has anyone here read the TOAST series.  I got it out of the library a few months ago and put it down after the first 5 pages , but my friend convinced me to read it again, so I'll see how that goes. Also, no one here has mentioned Wonder, R.J Palacio, a book I have read a few times and am sad when it finishes and the sequels, Auggie and Me and 365 Days of Wonder. I think that my cousin is crazy for not liking Wonder. My mom was bawling for like half the movie. I need more realistic fiction suggestions, so please post them on here
