    What are your thoughts on these kinds of books? It's for research purposes.

    I don't write romantic comedy, so I don't really have an opinion on it. I guess it's entertaining enough. And with the right story, it can be great too. Everything depends on how the topic is handled. In other words, you need the right author.   -----GK-----

    I don't write romantic comedy, so I don't really have an opinion on it. I guess it's entertaining enough. And with the right story, it can be great too. Everything depends on how the topic is handled. In other words, you need the right author.   -----GK-----

    I know you really weren't asking my opinion, but romcoms don't really have a point because it's just romance drama, which is kind of stupid because the girl always gets some guy (or girl, depending if it's a diverse book or not. But we won't go into that) in a love triangle. what are your opinions, Gord? and Jade

    Agreed about RomComs, both books and movies. As for my opinion, I'm going to stick to my genre, which is Middle Grade, and keep very discreetly quiet.                                                 -----GK-----

    I like them because of the comedy. I don't really like romance, unless it's written well, but I have yet to read/watch a bad romance comedy, as I love comedy, forever and always.

    I'd classify LOSING JOE'S PLACE as a YA romcom. It's certainly got the comedy part. (I laughed more reading this book than any other.) And more than any other Korman book, it centers on a story with dating and love interests. Even a love triangle.

    Well. There is no doubt that Raymond knows more about my work than I do. He's right, of course. And I might plead even more guilty by referencing SON OF THE MOB and THE JUVIE THREE.     Raymond is right, but the romance isn't the main part of the story. But there's still a lot of romance. And I agree with Jade. Parent Trap is on my top list of favorite movies, partly because the romance isn't too overdone, like a lot of Middle Grade/YA books nowadays
