Hi Gordon,

I recently learned of your books through a workshop and have some of your books on hold from my local library. I've only heard positive reviews about your writing, and I'd like to read your books to my upcoming 3rd grade class throughout this year. Which books do you suggest for 3rd grade (8-9 year olds)?

Hi, Jackie,

Thanks for posting. Your 3rd graders will probably really "get" SWINDLE, and the 7 books that follow it. They will probably also enjoy a novel like SLACKER. If their reading level is solid, I recommend UNPLUGGED, which is developing a reputation in elementary classes. And the very early books like THIS CAN'T BE HAPPENING AT MACDONALD HALL and the 6 books that followed it in the Bruno & Boots series.
