Hi Gord, I was just on Thriftbooks, which is a website that sells used books and I looked up your name and found The Fort on there. Did you set an earlier release date and forgot to change it on here? Did you go onto thriftbooks and sell it from there?

I don't sell books or set release dates. THE FORT is not out yet. But there are quite a few advanced proofs in circulation for review purposes. Someone may have sold a copy (or copies) to Thriftbooks, which is something that can't be prevented, although it's "not nice." -----GK-----

What was your inspiration for both Barneys? And also, can you tell if an author isn't writing with faith and from there heart and if they don't believe in the story?

What was your inspiration for both Barneys? And also, can you tell if an author isn't writing with faith and from there heart and if they don't believe in the story?

Hi again -- the inspiration for the first Barney was to set up the mystery of what happened to him. According to ZeeBee (who turned out to be right) he was murdered! The second one was for ZeeBee to have something to cling to when the truth came out of what happened to her beloved Barney 1.

As for being able to tell if an author has faith and full belief in his/her story, your guess is as good as mine. However, I've read books that I've put down, never to pick up again, after a couple of chapters, and I think you may be right and that could very well be the reason. I can't identify it, but I know when the book is doing nothing for me. The author's "belief in the story" could be why! -----GK-----
