Hi. I've officially been on this Forum for a year and six days. Can you believe it? I can barely. Your Forum really resonated with me throughout all of 8th grade, which is the year (the last) I've been on it so much! Now I am going into 9th grade and I'm going to be so old. But not as old as you. You're the same age as my auntie, and she's so old. No offense. Anyway, life update in celebration of the Anniversary of me realizing my favorite author EVER had a page where I (and other amazing readers) could talk to him!

First of all, I want to major in Creative Writing in college. I'm trying kind of hard for this not to be all over the place because I have ADHD and stuff, you know? Yeah. So, I want to major in Creative Writing in college. Thus, I am trying to be the most english-nerdy student I can this year, but I am also trying hard in other classes (before school starts) but English is still my biggest priority. I've talked to the English Department Head already, but that was by accident! It was so I could join the Poetry club because I love to write, all kinds of writing! I want to be acquainted with all of the faculty at my school, especially the administration and faculty. My Dad is in administration at his school. Well, he's the Assistant Principal. Anyway!

I did my English assignment like, two days ago. It was so fun! I liked the book (The Voyage of the Dawn Treader) so much that I even wrote a book report on it for fun. Now, I've started reading & annotating the books we have to read for school this year before school even starts! I've already finished The Silver Chair, along with a book report for it. I'm trying to sort out essay topics for all of the books so that I can hurry up and write for them. I'm now reading Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde right now, but I'm only on page 30. I was stalling yesterday but I'm going to finish it today. Then, on the weekend, i am going to read The Odyssey. But not all in one day, okay?

Anyway, off of English. I've talked to like, five of my teachers this year already, and the two principals (one in person) and the head of school. I like to talk to people and adults are the least scary because I know they'll be nice to me. Anyway, sorry, literally none of this has to do with you. IDK why I'm telling you. I will probably tell Ruchama. Ok, onwards to you!

I am getting used copies of I Want to Go Home and No Coins, Please. I am starting my collection of your awesome books right now. I want to sell all of my old books (I have a LOT) so I can start buying all 100 of yours. I currently own 166 books that I'd sell, not counting the Bibles and baby books. I have a lot of books! But I'd sell them all (except the seven I own of yours). But I've read more than six books of yours. Duh. Anyway, I'm trying to start my collection now.

Did anyone ever tell you that you write Stream of Consciousness? If you really do have ADHD, you're making it work for you. And your ambitions are admirable. I predict a lot of hard work and success for you. And if my FORUM has anything to do with you reaching out to other readers and making friends with similar interests to your own, then I'm happy. Very.

Of course, you'll discover that books like THE ODYSSEY don't read quite as smoothly as middle grade novels. But you'll be fine.

Nah, I have never even heard of that. Now looking up what that means I realize I think like that. But, well, way worse! Yes, I was diagnosed with it when I was 3, and thank you, that means a lot. Thanks! And thanks again; I am going to work really hard to be a bestselling author. At writing camp the lady said that less than 1% of authors can live off their book income and I immediately knew that was gonna be me. So just you wait. And it does, the Forum is the reason I met Ruchama.

Yep. The Odyssey, is an epic, right? A really long one too.

BTW I am doing the NaNoWriMo thing and in two or three years you are getting a surprise. I'll tell you one day!!

Hi Gord! You\\\'re my favorite author. And thank you for being so inspiring! You know, as I work on my WIPs I keep thinking of you, because you\\\'re a reminder that anyone can be a writer. Even if they\\\'re just a kid. You wrote a book when you were twelve and it was so good! When I was working on my other WIP, I would have this page open all the time just to remember that I can do this because you\\\'ve done it before. It\\\'s so inspiring! You\\\'re so inspiring! You\\\'re like the coolest person in the world, and you used to be a kid just like me. So crazy. Thanks, Gord!

Seriously, being a writer means having something to say that other people will want to know about. If my history serves as an inspiration to you, then I'm happy.

Advice? Relax more. Don't be nervous about your writing. Let it happen.
