Hello,

This year at my school our first read aloud for the entire school is the Unteachables. This book spoke to me as an educator and I recommended it to my principal as a read for our entire staff and students. Since this has been started to be read in the school it is amazing the conversations it has sparked both in staff and students. I love hearing the students talk about which student they most relate to and how some of the situations that are going on in the book are so similar to their daily lives. I have also loved seeing the teachers response to the book. I am in the school with many veteran teachers, and as a relatively new teacher myself, I saw as our principal announced this book for the staff to read, these teacher were thinking about how it is just another thing on their already full plates. However, after they have begun to read it I have had several teachers come up to me and tell me how they were so interested and invested in the story that they took it home to read in their personal time. I have also loved how this book has seemed to help uplift our staff and seem to remind them of their reason for teaching. I cannot get enough of your books and buy new ones that are not in my library every chance I get. Thank you for bringing our school back to life.
