Hey, recently I've been having problems keeping up with my writing. Do you have any recommendations? Do you use a planner? Do you plan a certain amount/time period of writing each day? What did you do when you were busy with something that you didn't have time to write?

    Be blessed,

    Jade

    Hi, Jade,

You're probably having trouble keeping up with your writing because you have other things to do, e.g. school, homework, hanging out with friends, family time -- all stuff that's important! I had the same problem when I first started to write. When I didn't have time, I didn't write. It's as simple as that. When you're just starting out, you don't have the kind of discipline you develop in later life. If you force the work, it won't read very well, I'll bet.

Today I'm disciplined. My writing time is usually between lunch and dinner, which is 5 or 6 hours. If I happen to get any inspiration during my off-time, I stop and make a few notes. I don't use a daily planner; I have an outline that I (more or less) follow while I'm working on a story. That outline is prepared long before I start the actual writing. If you're strong on that, it's easier to pick up where you left off. See how it works?

Don't worry so much, Jade. Worry gets in the way of the creative process (and eats up writing time!)
