I just took a math test, right? The PSAT (and I'm in the middle of an actual math test). It was a BRUTAL reminder that I SUCK at math, will NOT be doing a STEM job, will not be pursuing anything in STEM, and REALLY need to get back into writing my book because I'm only on Chapter 5 of 17 and since I'm going to be a bestselling author one day that will not do. So. I'm starting to like math. But I'm never going to touch it again after my years in college. BTW I'm writing this in Spanish class (how ironic) but my teacher is here but the rest of my class isn't. Anyway, got anything cool for inspiration?

"Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math," right? Question: Why would you even consider a future in STEM when your interests lie in creative writing and English? Yes, I know, don't rule anything out. I was a Math whiz, on the competitive Math Team in high school, courted by a big Ontario university for their math program, and see what I'm doing with my life!

Sorry, I have nothing for inspiration except something an old Englishman once wrote: "To thine own self be true." It's from Hamlet, so it must be right.

I'm very good at math. I don't like it because I have a big problem with doubting myself and I can't always check my math.

It's the magic bullet to getting a good job in my family. That's very cool for you, I wouldn't expect that. Your coach must have felt betrayed (math coach).

Nah, you weren't completely wrong. I absolutely bombed my math test today. It was so bad, I cried. But nobody could tell because I'm "sick" anyway and the sniffing could be for allergies. I am good at worrying, but I've actually gotten a lot worse at it (yay!) so no point in being sad. Good thing is that I made how bad the math test was into a joke, and I got my best friend to laugh a lot as I joked about it. The best part is that your book comes tomorrow. I reminded myself that yep, even if the test went bad (which it did), your book would still arrive tomorrow. So now the bad day is almost over and there were really good parts to today anyway.

TLDR; I don't like math anymore
