It wasn\'t easy! I had to get the book out and read the past parts again to answer your question! I wrote it, remember, back in 1999. Your question is answered on Page 81.

Samuel saved the life of that dreadful Captain Blade by breaking the man\'s fall from the rigging on the ship. He couldn\'t stop the fall, but he grabbed the captain\'s belt and kind of slowed the fall that way.
