Dear Mr. Korman,

 

     I just finished The Fort yesterday (stayed up in bed because I was too riveted to put it down) and it might be my favorite one of yours yet. I was excited to see you dealing with big themes like abuse and mental health (although I shouldn\'t be surprised after your latest few releases), and I thought you portrayed it all very well. C. J. was my favorite character, but the one I\'d like to hear more from is Evan; I want to see a scene with he and his brother and his parents, since we never got to see them in the book. But I won\'t ask you to write another book on that because I realize that when you\'ve finished the story, you\'ve finished it—and like I said, I think it\'s written well enough already.

     The only complaint I have.... is that there isn\'t another one of your books coming out tomorrow! I wish you could spit out books like clockwork, but I\'m well aware it doesn\'t work that way (and if you were writing them at a rate of one per month, I couldn\'t expect the quality stories you deliver every time).

     So, basically, thanks for The Fort, and keep writing awesome stories!

That's pretty much the nicest letter I've ever received from a reader! Thank you for all those kind words about THE FORT and my work in general. Sorry I can't manage to grind out one a month, but watch for THE SUPERTEACHER PROJECT, coming in January.
