    It's my birthday. It's also the birthday of my book. I thought up this book on July 1st, 2022. I've finished the first draft on December 5th, 2022. And now it's 12:05 on 12/05/22. I just wanted to say. I think 47,170 is my new favorite number because that's just how long my "book" is. I can NOT believe I finished it. I can NOT believe this. Yet I did it, and that's thanks to God. 

    and you. and my friends. and I wanted to tell you that I'm making it. I'm really meant to be a writer and I've been writing since I was a baby. So. Thanks again, Gord. Youre a super awesome celebrity.

    Happy anniversary to the bookplates you gave me. Theyre officially a whole year old.

    Good luck!


    My method is to change what I don't like, erase what I hate, add what I think it needs. You're not proof-reading, after all. You're reading for content and continuity. I don't know how you would feel about this, but a first pass was something I'd always read out loud. Somehow, I felt I was getting further into it if I could see it AND hear it. (Maybe that's just me.)

    Thanks. Sorry for not responding, I’m super tired because my party is tomorrow and my finals are next week. My book is still in diapers. I mean, I’m on chapter four and of going to query. I really have bad time management, or maybe I just can’t stand editing. That’s what I’m going to go crazy on during this break, though.
