Hi Mr. Korman,

I love your books! Masterminds is my go-to comfort read and probably one of my all-time favorite books. I was wondering the other day about Amber and her obsession with dieting and exercising. What made you choose to write her that way? Is she intended to be anorexic? Thanks, and happy holidays!

Hi, I'm not Gord, and I don't actually know the answer but I think she is just supposed to be perfect. Which she basically is in my mind cuz shes AMBERRRRRR!!!!! AMBER!!!!!!!!! #GoAmber She's my favorite character!!!!

Jade is pretty much right. In a perfect town, leading a perfect life, Amber is responding to her upbringing and her surroundings by being perfect. She was never meant to be skinny or underweight. She was perfect, or at least she was the way she was trained to be.
