Hi! How are you? I love your books so much. I was wondering how you came up with the idea for your Masterminds books. They are so well written and obviously have a deeper meaning. I think that it is like kids feeling trapped and like they should be exactly like their parents and exactly like how society wants them to be. What were you intending the theme to be?

Thanks for posting. I'm glad to hear that you enjoy my books so much.

The idea(s) for MASTERMINDS came up slowly. The basic idea was cloning. The DNA donors being master criminals came next, and morphed into a major off-the-books experiment with nature vs. nurture. As for your concept of a deeper meaning, it doesn't sound familiar to me, but I can see how you extrapolate that from the story.

My theme? That the nature vs. nurture question has not yet been answered, and may not ever reach a conclusion.
