Nicole MacPhersonI came up with an idea to help my children find a love of reading. It has since expanded to other family and friends. I call them BookVentures because you get to experience the adventure along with the book. I put tiny sticky notes with numbers next to certain paragraphs of the book. When you get to that number, you find the corresponding numbered paper bag and open it. Inside is a gift that correlates to what is happening in the book at that time.
For Christmas this year, I made a BookVenture with Restart for both my daughter and my friend. I had so much much fun with this book! I took pictures to send you, but I don't see a way of posting them here. I bought 15 different gifts that will be opened along the way as they read the book. I think this takes reading to the next level of enjoyment and wanted to thank you for providing such wonderful books to work with.

What a fabulous idea! I wonder why no one thought of it before this! It sounds like fun putting it together plus fun for the person opening the gift bag!
