    Dear Mr. Korman,

The first book I read of yours is Son of Interflux, and I have been a fan ever since.  Oddly, I learned how young men think from that book--and I was married by that time.  I wish I had read it in high school.

I've been reading The Superteacher Project and the opening chapter brought back a fond memory.  I happened to be at a New Year's Eve party in 1997 in, of all places, Monaco (long story). I was part of a travel group celebrating at a party hosted by the Hotel Meridian and a travel group from Italy was also present.  The hotel provided party favors to welcome in the new year which included--spitwads and spitwad launchers.  The spitwads were pre-formed balls of tissue paper and the launchers were tubes about 1/2 inch in diameter.  I don't know what the staff was thinking by giving the Americas projectiles.  Let's just say that New Year's Eve party has been the party by which all other parties are measured.

I taught an elective class during the first semester of school.  I used The Unteachables to instruct the students about the secret life and dedication of teachers.  We then read Restart so the students could learn that they can make better choices.  I know the book focuses on Chase, but I always wonder what happened to Aaron and Bear since the video was discovered with proof of their vandalism--where they kicked off of the football team, suspended, have any consequences?

Thank you so much for your books.

I am currently reading this book for the first time, and just finished up chapter 3. The description of how ratios was finally explained to Nathan is exactly how I felt I would have tried to explain them to someone who was having trouble learning them, minus the destruction of a blind.

I am seeing where this book is going to some extent, but that is no longer the reason why I read these books. I read them to experience the little events that make up the whole story.

Thank you Gordon for providing me with these stories over the past forty or so years that I have been reading them!
