Gord, guess what? I didn't forget about the Paggers. In fact, we had our first meeting today! It was an interest meeting, and here's the gist of it.

The Positive Action Group are high schoolers focusing on improving child literacy in our county! The literacy rate for kids in our state from 1st to 4th grade is 32%! That's less than a third--less than a third of the kids in my state can read. That's what we're gonna focus on!
We want to have about five events working on child literacy this year. That's a minimum.

We actually have nine members! A few may drop out and that's okay, but it's so many! We're having meetings bi-weekly on Tuesdays, and next Tuesday is our first "real" meeting. I'm probably gonna ask the people (Secretary, Treasurer, Vices, and Social Media Marketer) to do some things. This meeting we had without our club sponsor, but next week he'll hopefully be there.

It's so weird being president of a club! Especially one with a purpose!

THX! I think it's gone pretty well so far, this semester! If you want a list of what we've done:

1. Help set up our school's book fair

2. Host a book drive in Elementary and High School (2200+ books)
3. Make a logo (for shirts)

5. And now, we're going to do a "free book fair" for two public schools over winter break! Crazy, right?
