Hi, Patrick,

I remember my childhood as being a lot of fun and a lot of laughing. I was an only child, so I probably got too much attention, good and bad. But I don't remember being lonely. I had a cousin who was very close to me -- he was a little older, so I had someone to show me the ropes, so to speak. And I had friends at school and in the neighborhood. I played hockey -- hey, this was a Canadian upbringing. Of course I played hockey. I had a very best buddy who moved away. That was a little bit sad.

I grew up listening to the Beatles, and watching Queen -- I saw them in person, TWICE! Stereo was a very big interest. And then, at 12, I wrote a children's book, and life really changed!

And that's the story in a nutshell of how Gord came to be Gord. Hope it's what you asked for.

Hello Mr. Korman,

I have recently read the unteachables, and I was wondering if there would be a book 2, as it was written a few years ago. The new book could be that Mr. Kermit gets bumped up to teach the unteachables in grade 9,, and one of them gets framed for a crime. I really love this novel, and I hope you make it a series.

Thanks for posting. I'm glad to hear that THE UNTEACHABLES went over so well with you. Right now I have no plans for a sequel, but the book is becoming very popular, so I would never say never.
