So I guess you might call that a definite maybe! I was also thinking last night about a movie! obviously, I would be a great person for it! :D I have tons of experience in acting! But also, I think it would be a great hit, for kids like me. (If you do always consider me for a role, Shoshanna would be perfect ;D ) But I would also love to see it in Netflix or even the Movie theater! I bet tons of kids, have asked for Movies and Sequels (Like me!) But I would love for you keep this one, special. From a BIG fan.

A movie or TV show would be amazing, I agree! But I also have to let you know that it's not up to me. Authors write books, and film companies make movies and TV shows. Right now a film company that I respect very much has the rights to RESTART, and there are various books of mine under that kind of contract already. Plus there have been some movies made, like the 3 Macdonald Hall features, and SWINDLE and the Disney series THE JERSEY. But my job is strictly supplying the material in the form of books and plots.

hi Mr. korman i am a huge fan i absolutly loved restart it was a amazing find i actully found it in a take a book leave a book library and let me say i finished restart in 2 days!!! because of how much i loved it it was a amazing book and i just wanted to say thank you for making it and i was hoping to ask for a sequal aswelll and i have a idea for it i personally loved the book but i kinda think aaron and bear should have like more page time so i think the seqaul should be about chase aaron and bear before he fell off the roof and the entire book should be about the lives before the incedent thats just my opion but i think pepole would like it

Hey Mr. Korman. Let me just say I am so happy that I found this website, so that I can contact you and tell you WHAT AN AMAZING BOOK restart is. I read it a long time ago, and I still reread it just so I can laugh and remember what it felt like to read it. Ik you said you were considering it, but I would LOVE LOVE for you to make a sequel to restart. It would be nice to see more of Chase, Aaron, and Bear, and more about them. It would also be really nice to know more about old Chase, and why he was that way. I feel like in the end of the book, Chase was too quick to cut Aaron and Bear off, although what they did to him wasn't right in any sort of way, I do feel like they must've had some sort of history, which is why they were so close. I know Chase couldn't remember anything about that, but it would be cool for him to start remembering his past self, and figuring out why he acted the way he did, because anyone who is that cruel and cold-hearted, must've had some sort of past trauma or a past experience to make him that way.(ik its a kids book BUT STILL). Please tell me your feedback on that. Seeing more of the video club and the hurricanes would be NICE too. A prequel or sequel would be LOVED by me, and I am just know finding out you have more books, WHICH I WILL BE READING.

As for where the idea came from -- I wanted to do a story on bullying, and RESTART is what came to mind. Hey, I've been at this book-writing for a long time. It's my career to dream up stories, and that's what I did with RESTART.       --GK--

I love how you switch pov\'s, it\'s a very pretty unique voice of writing. I love all of your books, and I agree with other people that restart should defintiyl have a prequel. It would be so cool. I have no plans for a prequel or sequel to RESTART, but I also wouldn't rule one out. Right now, though, I'm up to my ears in commitments and projects, so if it happens at all, it won't be soon. Sorry. But I'm glad that RESTART has been such a big hit with so many people. Would you believe it's been on the NY Times Bestseller list for about 4 years???

And thanks for noticing my POV technique. I really enjoy narrating that way. It gives a much more rounded view of the story.

I'm doing a lesson on writing realistic fiction. Besides your passion the psychology and influence of the environment on bullying, I was wondering what inspired you to write the book? Was it based on any moments from your own life or stories you had witnessed? I wanted to tie the lesson to books the kids would be familiar with and a lot of them are fans of Restart.

Thanks for your enthusiasm. RESTART is a very popular book -- on the New York Time Bestseller List for 4 years!

Right now I have no plans for a sequel. Again, I wouldn't rule one out. But I have a schedule of books coming out, and material to produce, and RESTART is not presently on it. 

As for a movie, casting it would have nothing to do with me, but thanks for the offer. There is a film company interested, but that doesn't mean a movie will be made. Let's keep a positive thought, OK? Maybe we can influence a filmmaker with our enthusiasm!

RESTART is strictly fiction, not tied to my own life, not about anything I've experienced or anyone I know. I just thought it would make a good story about bullying, friendship, and second chances.

At the end of chapter 29 it seems like shoshanna has a crush on Chase, i wanna know if that\'s true and i would love to see a sequel to this. I know you cant make any promises to this but this would be great to see Chase and Shoshanna together since they make a great couple. Thank you!

Hello Gordon Korman!! 

I wanted to start off this with a thank you, Restart has made such an impact on my life as a writer and a reader. 
I was introduced to the story in 5th grade for the time. I’m dyslexic and always felt like reading was a chore until I picked up this book due to an assignment. 

Yes, I had seen Restart many times in my local library for years prior to my first inhabitants with the book, and always wanted to know what it in tailed because the cover left so much to the imagination. 
In my class we would read aloud with my teacher, we were supposed to follow along and not read ahead but little did my teacher know only a few days after starting this book I went home and downloaded it on audible and finished it in the matter of 3 days. 
I am now almost a sophomore in high school and still listen to this book regularly, the nostalgia I feel when reading this book is so comforting, as well this book pushed me towards the creative writing path and as some might say “altered my brain chemistry”. 

But in all seriousness 

Thank you for inspiring me to write and find the path I felt like I couldn’t find. 

(And if you are ever planning on a show or sequel, that would truly heal the my inner child)

I want to say how much I am a fan of all your writing, I read Restart in the 7th grade, and I'm in my sophomore year of highschool now. I just came back to read the book again and it really brought me back. Back in 7th, I had trouble reading, but after reading your book, it inspired me to take a path in writing! It really helped me with my reading problems back then, and I took that hobby with me up until now! I major in Creative Writing, and I'm even in 2 literature clubs at school. I really enjoy your writing and I look up to and admire you as an Author Mr. Korman, you've changed the course of my life with one book and I'm ever grateful for that! 

Thank you for writing Restart and many other books like Mixed Up, and Faker. You're an amazing Author and I'm happy I picked up that random orange copy from the school library in my 7th grade lunch period. I will continue to follow and read all of your future works!
