Me and my class are reading Linked and love it. its so cool how you can capture all of the events in the book. we love the book so much we . we are on chapter 15 (pouncey's chapter which is out favorite so far. people love it so much that after we finished reading the chapter out loud even on the first day people wanted to finish reading it. I am a writer and I can't capture the action and reality that you do. Me and my classmates have requests on things you can do. First can you please make Linked a sequel and second you should maybe make more pouncey chapters they are our favorite chapter (because there is only one ) maybe you can make a journal for the Pouncey that would be cool.

    Hi, Meira,

Glad to hear that LINKED went over so well with the class! Thanks for writing to tell me about it. I think, though, that LINKED is a stand-alone book, so there will probably be no sequel.

If Pouncey is such a favorite with the class, I hope you'll all read my 100th book, THE FORT. There are some kids in that one who are quite Pouncey-like.

Thanks again, Meira and Class.                                                  -----Gordon Korman-----

I just finished reading Linked and (no surprise) loved how you handled the important message in a way that is relatable to middle-schoolers. As the students round out the end of their paper chain, I was incredibly surprised to see students from my hometown of Buffalo Grove, Illinois mentioned as link-donators. How did you choose BG? There is a high Jewish population here, but there are many surrounding suburbs that you could have just as easily chosen. What made BG the honorary choice?  Had I read Linked a week earlier, I would have asked you this question in person at Litapalooza. It was so nice meeting you there and learning more about you and your writing!

    Thanks,

    Cheryl

    Hi, Cheryl,

Thanks for posting. I'm glad to hear that LINKED went over well with you.

How did I think of Buffalo Grove? I did some school visits there a while back, and enjoyed the town and the kids, so it just came to mind. They were the kind of people who would be happy to send in paper links for the chain -- just a nice group, the kind that stay in your mind.

You and I met at Litapalooza -- I'm glad we did. It was a very fun and successful event, and I'm glad I made it.

                                                Best regards,                                                                 -----Gordon Korman-----
