Yesterday, I was reading Ranger’s Apprentice and a girl started up a conversation with me. I asked her her favorite author and she said something like “I don’t know his name, but he’s written a ton of funny books” and I almost started to smole because I thought it could be you! And I asked her what was her favorite book of his, and she said “books about these clone kids…” and I was like “Masterminds!?” and she’s like yeah! I met a fan of yours, Gord! It was awesome! We both really like SCHOOLED.

I start spring break this week!

Hi, I'm a big fan of your books, and I have a question for you.

Maybe it sounds awkward, but a long time ago when I was reading your books, my friend's grandmother saw your name, and told me that her father had a brother who was lost in the war, and his name was Corman Ion.

She thinks that it is possible that you are her cousin, and I was wondering if it is true.

I don't think that name, which seems to be a first name, has anything to do with my family. For one thing, mine is Korman with a "K", and it's a surname. You didn't mention where you're writing from, but my family is based in the Montreal and Toronto area in Canada. So I don't think it's probable, or even possible. Sorry.
