We're doing this project in our school and I hope you can answer my question. My question in why did you write RESTART? What got you interested or what inspired you to write this book?

Thanks for posting. I'll try to answer your questions.

I'm a professional author, so writing middle grade books is part of what I do. I really wasn't trying to write about bullying. What I had in mind was the concept of second chances. Could the bully change? Would anyone let him change? Could he start over, and would the people around him allow him the chance to start over? Thus, RESTART.

As for inspiration, most authors don't require it. We write because we have something to say, a story to tell. That's just about all it takes to start us scribbling.
