I said something earlier. You know, I am in Poetry Club. The leader of my club, we decided to make a big poem for him about what he means to us because this is his last poetry club! Do you like poetry?

Hi -- I didn't know that you're an admirer of poetry. There's poetry and poetry, if you follow my meaning. My Mom and I wrote some comic doggerel poetry in 2 books years ago. Some pretty funny stuff, actually. But I think you mean real poetry, the kind where the writer expresses him/herself in such a way as to take your breath away and make you wonder how he/she can think in those terms. I'm fussy about that, in that I love Wordsworth and Byron amd loathe T.S. Eliot. Except for Prufrock. I can live with Prufrock.

Am I driving you crazy? Good luck with the AP exam, and count to 20! But don't get too happy about it. Summer goes just as quickly as winter, you know! -----G-----

Yes, it's very beautiful. I'm not a huge fan of writing it, but reading it is great. LOL. I think I know what you're talking about! It makes sense. I don't love poetry enough, or for long enough, to recognize those names though. You kind of are, since I have no idea who you're talking about! Thanks! And I think that's a good thing--winter felt like FOREVER!

Just that THE WASTE LAND by T.S. Eliot was a colossal endless bore, but THE LOVE SONG OF J. ALFRED PRUFROCK was amusing and amazing. And even a little sad. It was, I think, Eliot's first poem.
