Thanks for posting. I'm glad the character of Mr. Solway seems to have reached out to you and made you interested in his life. It's not likely that I will write it, however. I write for middle grade, and the story of an adult solder/hero would be very much an adult topic. So Mr. Solway's participation in RESTART is going to have to be enough. Sorry.

COLT -- I needed an accident for Chase to have memory loss. Falling off the roof was what I chose because it also solves the problem of where the medal might be.
BRAEDEN WILSOB -- I wasn't a bully, nor was I bullied. RESTART is fictional, although I did witness some bullying at my school. Nothing terrible, but not very nice.
JENNA -- Most authors don't really require what you call "inspiration," We write because we have something to say or a story to tell. That's just about all it takes to start us scribbling!
MASON -- I do have a war book, called WAR STORIES that you might be interested in. But Mr. Solway will probably just remain a character in RESTART.
LUCY -- My favorite character is Brendan. I'm always a sucker for the character who's there to provide the laughs.
KADENCE A. -- I didn't connect with Chase any more than with any of the other characters. I don't have to BE Chase to write his dialogue or describe how he thinks. That's all part of being a writer.
SIMONE ALBERT, great question! I never write a single word until my story is well-planned-out. So the story doesn't have to come together. It already IS together before I even start. Planning is everything!
HARRISON -- It took about 8 months to complete RESTART until I was ready to hand it in to my publisher. That includes the stage where I plan it all out, plus the actual writing.
