Gordon... Thank you so much for your contribution to children's literature. I'm an aspiring middle grade novelist, yet unpublished. As such, I am constantly reading children's fiction. My favorite story up to this point has been Hatchet by Gary Paulsen. But today I just finished Schooled, which now stands as my favorite children's novel. You have mastered teaching a lesson without beating the reader over the head. You are my muse/mentor. Thank you and keep up the good work, folks like me are depending on you.
