Hey there I've been wanting to write to you for years. You helped shape my kids' LOVE of reading. I have kids that are 10 years apart; I read SO many of your books to my first "set" and now am reading old & new alike with my new "set." Your books are so incredibly funny, intriguing, relatable, exciting & enjoyable. I remember being on the edge of my seat with the adventure series like Island & Everest (sobbing at some points) and laughing now with Cam Boxer and other funny books like Restart. They're all absolutely AMAZING! I don't know how you do it, but I'm glad you do!!!

There are times when a writer has to make changes he doesn't think should be made. And edits what shouldn't, in his opinion, be edited. And sees anemic sales, or so-so reviews. There are even times when a writer has to write when he has a headache, or something else he'd like to do, but there's a deadline to meet.

Your letter has just made all that 100% worthwhile! Thanks so much for your kind words. I'm also very glad I do it!
