Dear Mr. Korman,

Hi! I'm your biggest fan! I've read 23 of your books! Now, I'm writing because my fourth grade teacher told us to read a book and do a project on the book you read, so I picked "The Unteachables." I loved reading your book and a few things surprised me. Based on your description of their science fair project I really thought that they would win the science fair. Before I finished the book I also though that Mr. Kermit would have to leave the school early. My last inference was that I didn't think that the principal would let Kina stay in room 117. Like I said, I've read 23 of your books, but this one might be my favorite!

Thanks for posting. I'm glad THE UNTEACHABLES went over so well with you.

Your comment: that's the good part about being the author -- the details can turn out the way you want them! The class couldn't win the science fair after setting fire to half the neighborhood. Mr. Kermit's job was safe because of the miracle he pulled off with the Unteachables -- plus the Superintendant did him dirt, I think. And sure Kiana could stay in Room 117, because it had turned out to be the best classroom in the whole school!
