I teach 4th grade in Florida and as you maybe aware our governor

has passed a series of bills aimed at banning books. I was recently informed that Restart, among others by you, is no longer allowed to be read in 4th grade as they say the publisher has the age set to 10+ and some kids don’t start 4th grade at 10. Is there anything you can do to assist in this matter? Can you change the age of the book? The grade level shows 3rd-8 but for some reason the ages set don’t match that. Desperate to continue using your wonderful stories in my classroom.

Sorry to hear about the hair-splitting Florida teachers are facing. There's very little I can do about it. However, I'll bring it to the attention of my publishers, and see if they'll change their age groupings to solve the problem.
