I just read the Masterminds series and loved it! It is my favorite series from you right now. I did have a question though, how do you decide which will become a series? Are some books still getting their sequel written? One book I would love a sequel for is Unplugged. It is my favorite book of yours. Restart would also be one I would want a sequel for. I know you probably can’t tell me if you are writing a sequel, or take my suggestion for a sequel, but I think it is super cool writing to my writing hero. I absolutely love all of your books and hope to one day meet you 🤞.  I thank you for your time reading this message.

    Hi, ARB,

Thanks for posting. I'm pleased that you're such a fan and that MASTERMINDS went over so well with you. It was a thrill to write, too, with ideas sprouting even through the original planning.

Your question: series come from two places. MASTERMINDS was always a series, planned that way from the start. So was THE HYPNOTISTS. But my longer series, SWINDLE, started out with a single book, and grew by popular demand. The adventure trilogies -- ISLAND, EVEREST, TITANIC, and DIVE were all planned to take place over 3 books. But a book like SLACKER was a big hit, so I followed up with LEVEL 13, which was unplanned. Same with UNGIFTED leading to SUPERGIFTED.

Right now I'm not writing a sequel to anything, nor am I working on a series. But that could change, so I make no promises!

OK? Thanks again for being such a loyal fan. I hope you're reading the latest, MIXED UP.

                                               Best regards,                                                       -----Gordon Korman-----
