    Good questions.


    I'm a one-and-only, no brothers, no sisters. But my wife and I have 3 kids, ages 24, 21, and 18, boy-girl-boy. Now all college age.


    All my books -- all 102 of them -- are fiction, which means I make it all up. I admit that there's plenty of myself in there, plus bits and pieces of the people I know, but it's basically made up stuff.

    When I was growing up, I wasn't much of a reader. But I did enjoy the Encyclopedia Brown books and also the Kurt Vonnegut books that I read with my Mom. They were hard, but marvellous!


    I'm still a Vonnegut fan. I also read a lot of kids' books now -- got to keep an eye on the competition, right?


    My favorite book of all time is probably THE HITCHHIKERS GUIDE TO THE GALAXY by Douglas Adams. Not to be missed!
