Hello sir, how do you just come up with the characters and their personalities just like that?. I really like your characterization it's astounding. And the point of view's.

Since you are the author of One False Note (great book btw) I was wondering if I could get your permission to write a screenplay of that book for a movie.

Thanks for posting and for your thumbs-up for ONE FALSE NOTE. As you can imagine, that one and all the other books I did for THE 39 CLUES series were really fun to write.

Permission for a screenplay can't come from me. I'm not sure, but you might have to get permission from both Scholastic, the publisher, and my agent, Curtis Brown, Ltd. That book, and many others, were all part of a multi-author series created by the publisher, and I'm really not sure who owns the film rights. I know it's not me.
