RyanDear Mr. Korman,
I’m Ryan. I like a lot of your books. I recently read The Fort, Restart, and Mixed Up. The explanation for how the boys were connected in Mixed Up was confusing to me. Why weren’t other kids connected? In Mixed Up, my favorite character was Theo. Are you writing a new book? If so, is it going to be a book series?

Thanks for posting. I can explain away your confusion:
MIXED UP is science-fiction, and strictly made up. In the story, Reef and Theo were infants together in an incubator when the unit was struck by lightning in an electrical storm that hit the hospital. That is what forged the strange connection between them, and is the reason why they were tryingto recreate the same conditions. But it was fictional, which means I wrote that it only happened to the two of them, not any of the other kids. Things like switching memories don't really happen, thank goodness!
Am I writing a new book? Always! Watch for SLUGFEST in January of 2024.
