Well then... I havent noticed this question so I'll ask it here after putting in my disclaimer.... I was introduced to you in 1983 by our librarian.  Well... I'm a tad older now.  Over the years I had collected your books and had passed them on to my nieces never to see them again.  For my 51st birthday last month, my partner gave me an autographed copy of "Go Jump In The Pool" with a cover I dont recall, but I love the gift all the same.  It made me sentimental for the  rest of the collection.  So I jumped on my Kobo and bought "This Can't Be Happening At Macdonald Hall" with Petunio on the cover which is again not quite what I recall.  So my disclaimer is I'm an old canadian who loved the original books in the 80s.

My question comes after I read an exerpt about Athabasca University and the internet.  Now I cant say for certain that Athabasca University did not exist in 83, but I am absolutely certain the Internet did not exist in 83 lol.

Ok to the question... How do I get the original books?  I dont see them on Indigo, Scholastic, or anywhere that I can find.  Yup long journey for a short road!  But that's the question.

    Hi, Michael,

Thanks for remembering! If you go back that far, the books you're remembering are the 7 Macdonald Hall books, WHO IS BUGS POTTER, and maybe OUR MAN WESTON and NO COINS, PLEASE. Would it upset you to know that my newest release, MIXED UP, is my Book # 102? I'm presently working on #106, while 103 through 105 are in the publishing queue.

Where are you going to find them? Try calling Scholastic in Toronto    1-800-268-3860 the last time I looked. And you'd probably be more successful looking to see what's available on Kindle or another e-Reader. I know a lot of the early stuff is there.

Thanks again for thinking of me.                                                                   -----Gordon Korman-----

    Michael,

You may want to hunt around the used bookstores and thrift shops in your area. That's where I've looked for some of Gord's earlier works that I can't find through the commercial retailers. I'm happy to have retained all the ones that I had bought back in the early 80's (currently re-reading Our Man Weston). I did not know that This Can't Be Happening... was revised to include the internet in it. That's pretty neat.
