Ishi PatelHello Mr. Korman!,
My name is Ishi Patel and I am a student at Scullen Middle School (located in Naperville, Illinois). I have read your book Linked and I loved it so so much! I'm now a huge fan. I loved how you had the plot twist in your book because the ending (not gonna spoil :) was so amazing! If you respond to this email, it will be a dream come true! If not, I totally understand. This is for a book project for school! I have to submit an email for an author. I'm going to ask a few icebreaker questions. Feel free to answer any.1. Where did you get the inspiration from?
2. If you could have dinner with any author, living or deceased, who would it be and why?
3. For this one, any fun fact about you is cool with me!Thank you so much for taking the time to read this email!
Sincerely,
Ishi Patel

Thanks for posting. I'm glad to hear that LINKED went over well with you. I hope you'll want to ready many more of my books.
Your questions: My work doesn't really require what you call "inspiration," Ishi. My ideas for books and characters come from plain old hard work, and a lot of thinking and plotting. No big mystery -- it's just work. If I could have dinner with any author, living or dead, it would be with an adult writer named Kurt Vonnegut. His work has always been my favorite. Fun fact: most Sundays I sit and watch football till my eyes just about fall out of my head. (At least, it's fun for me.)
OK? I try to respond to all my emails, Ishi. My readers are important people in my life!
Best regards, -----Gordon Korman-----
