Hi Gordon Korman,

You are one of my favourite authors of all time. I was so excited when I found this forum because I knew I had to reach out to you and just tell you how much I love your books. I read Masterminds around 2017 (The Turkish translation), and I was obsessed with the story. I even called the publishing house to ask when the rest of the series would come out. I remember when Payback was released, I skipped school to read it (no regrets!!). The discovery of that book series led to me reading anything written by you I could find, and that introduced me to some of the most amazing middle-grade books I have ever read (and I read A LOT).

Your books are endlessly fun, heartwarming and filled with amazing role models and examples of friendships, and although at sixteen I might be a bit older than your intended audience, I still enjoy your books so much! And I do think that good children's stories are stories any age can enjoy and learn from, which is definitely the case for your books.

Overall, I just want to say a big, big thank you for creating those amazing stories that I spent hours reading. The fact that there are more than a hundred books you wrote makes me so happy because (especially with the new releases too!) I will never run out of books to read :))

P. S. Are you planning any events in Ontario? I would love to attend!

When they told me MASTERMINDS was going to be published in Turkish, I never dreamed tat I would hear from one of the readers! Thanks so much for reaching out. I'm really pleased to hear that you're such a big fan. I hope to continue producing material that will please and amuse you. The latest is SLUGFEST, released just last week.

There are no personal appearances presently planned for the Toronto area. However, there may be something in the late Spring if one of my nominated books wins a prize, so you never know! Let's keep a good thought.
