I just began reading The Contest with my students and we decided to try and look for High Falls, CO where the team trains. We couldn't find it. We guessed that you made up the name, because the book is fiction, but weren't sure. If you did make it up, what was the reasoning behind naming it High Falls, and why did you choose Colorado?

Hi, Mr. Wallis & Students,

Right! I chose a fictional place. I made it High Falls because I wanted it to sound mountainous -- no sense training mountaineers on flat ground, right? Which is the same reason why I chose Colorado -- mountains.

I hope everyone is enjoying the book and will go on to finish reading the series.
