BriannaDear Gordan Korman,
My name is Brianna. I am in 8th grade in middle school. We just finished reading Swindle. I loved the book! I loved when Savannah helped the dog named Luthor. It is sad because Pitch fell off the ladder. What inspired you to write this book? Luthor reminds me of my dog because he is aggressive. Do you love making books? Does it take you a long time to write it? How old are your kids and do they read your books? Hopefully, you make more books!

Your questions: I think you'll find that most authors don't require what you call "inspiration," Biranna. We write because we have something to say. That's all it takes to start us off. Yes, I do love my writing, which is why it's my chosen job. Does it take a long time to write a book? It depends what you call a long time. I write 2 books a year for my 2 different publishers.
My kids are 25, 21, and 18 now, but when they were young enough I was pleased to know that they were fans of my work.
