Hi my name is Emily and at school we finished the unteachable’s and I was wondering if there is going to be a 2nd to that book because I really enjoyed it and I really want to know if anything happens next.

Thanks for posting. I'm pleased to hear that THE UNTEACHABLES made a hit with you. I haven't planned a sequel, but I wouldn't rule one out. So I'll offer you what I offer most people who ask about sequels -- an indefinite "maybe." I'm afraid that will have to do.

What would happen next? The Unteachables would all go on to high school, and M. Kemit would take back his job as a regular dedicated teacher. Happy ending, right?

If there is a sequel someday, it won't be 10 years in the future. That would make the kids 22 or 23, and being unteachable then means not having gone to college or any post-secondary education. Also not being ready for the work force, not having a bright future -- I wouldn't want that for them, and I think it wouldn't be very funny.

See? Timing can be important too. The main thing is that NOW they're funny. --GK--
