Aaron FullerHi, Gordon,
Our 7th grade is reading RESTART. I'm the Latin teacher for 7th grade, and we were wondering if you took Latin. We liked chapter 4 with the cheerleaderus maximus and the other Latin in that chapter. Please let us know!
Gratias multas!

Thanks for posting. I believe Latin is a MUST HAVE! Your chances of making it through English plus all the Romance languages are SO much better when you know Latin.
Ahem. Having said that, I admit I didn't take it. (Flushed with shame, but too old for a do-over.) Any Latin I use comes from my Mom. In her day, you took Latin or you didn't get out of high school. Strict, but wise.

Magnas gratias for your reply! We are on chapter 9 this week, and using Restart to help promote our core values of awareness, kindness, and ownership.
It's such a gift you have for character, narration, and the small details that bring alive every chapter. You also draw the line perfectly between the edginess of adolescence, but not having your characters completely cross the line--at least not yet! We are on chapter 9 this week with Chase and his dad at the football game where Chase suddenly has the memory of the teddy bear...
Best wishes,
