    Dear Gordon Korman,

My name is Hadley and I’m a 5th grader and so far this year, I’ve read Restart, Slacker, Linked, and Ungifted.(I’m super excited to read Supergifted!) Outside of school, I like to paint, I’m an orange belt in karate and in the summer I do swim team.I have a 5 year old basenji mix dog. Her name is Luna and she is very fast. Basenjis are African hunting dogs, so that’s why she’s so fast. My favorite book of yours is Restart

Enough about me, I have some questions for you.  What inspired your books? My next question for you is what is your favorite book you’ve wrote? Where are you from? And lastly, will you make a sequel to Restart?

What I like about your books are just the stories in general. The lesson I got from Linked was amazing! The characters feel like more than just characters, they feel like real people. I don’t really like how most of the main character are boys though. But that’s it! I also LOVE the twist at the end! Keep up the great books!

                   From, Hadley

P.s. If you make a sequel to Restart, you should call it Fast Forward!

    Hi, Hadley,

Thanks for posting and for your support for my books. I appreciate it very much.

Your questions: My writing doesn't really require what you call "inspiration," Hadley. I write because I have something I want to say, or a story to tell. I think most authors feel the same way. I don't have a favorite among my books, but I admit I'm really proud of THE FORT, which was my Book #100, and my MASTERMINDS series. And, of course, RESTART, which has been on the New York Times bestseller list for over 3 years! I was born in Montreal, grew up in suburban Toronto, and now live with my family on Long Island, NY. I haven't planned a sequel to RESTART, but I wouldn't rule one out either. Would you accept an indefinite maybe???

Thanks again, Hadley. I hope to continue writing material that will please and amuse you.

                                        Best regards,                                                  -----Gordon Korman-----
