Thanks for your interest.
I ws born in Montreal, and lived there umtil I was 7 when we movied to a suburb of Toronto. I was an only child, probably getting too much attention and also not getting away with the little things kids get away with because I was the only one to watch. When I was 12, in 7th grade, our teacher asked us to write what he called "a novelette." I got really into it, found I had a knack for storytelling, and quite accidentally wrote my first book, THIS CAN'T BE HAPPENING AT MACDONALD HALL. That was 40-plus years ago, and I've been writing ever since.
OK? -----Gordon Korman-----

I was a writer while I was growing up. My first book came out when I was 14. I wrote it in 7th grade when I was 12, in answer to an English assignment. And I've been writing ever since. So I can truthfully say I never wanted to be an author. I just was one almost before I had the chance to choose a profession.
Peculiar, but true. -----Gordon Korman-----
