I don’t know if you remember, but a little while ago in September of 2023, you sent me a bookplate for my birthday. I just wanted to say thanks again for your generosity. I know that you didn’t have to do that for me, but you decided to which makes me very happy. I will always remember your kindness whenever I open one of the books that I put the bookplate in. Just wanted to reach out and say thank you again! I will never forget your kindness!

1) Have you ever thought of selling merchandise?

2) Do you get a say on what you book cover designs look like?

3) Have you ever experimented writing a different style of book? Ex. Picture book, Graphic Novel

4) How much time on average would you say you spend writing on a daily basis?

5) When you are out and about, do people recognize you?

6) Did you always enjoy writing stories?

7) Who is your favorite author? (other than yourself)

8) Are you going to go back to writing series anytime soon? (Don’t get me wrong, I still love all of the stand-alone books)

2. I get to see the cover and say if I like it or not, but it usually makes no difference what I say about it. PLUS I usually like it.

3. I've written younger stuff, like THE D-MINUS POEMS, and LIAR, LIAR. My 39 CLUES books are going to be graphic novels, but I'm not doing them.

4. When I start a book, it's tough going, and I usually work only a few hours a day. When I'm cruising along towards my climactic ending, I can work 8 to 10 hours. Whatever it takes.

5. People recognize actors and movie stars. Writers are more private. Only my neighbors and the local kids around my home know who I am.

6. I always enjoyed writing because it came easily to me. I'm nothing if not lazy.

7. 2 favorites -- Douglas Adams and Kurt Vonnegut. Highly recommended.

8. Working on a series book right now -- adding to the "GIFTED" series.

I would LOVE a Gordon Korman shirt! Also, the writer life of not being recognized in public sounds so fun! And what you said about working for 8-10 hours? That is so difficult! I’ve wrriten for like, 10 hours straight before and it was not easy…
